I’ve been missing West African cooking, so I was excited to discover Sankofa Kitchen. I had the Jollof with fish and fried plantains and it was amazing! The real deal. I highly recommend and will definitely return. ?

I wanted to experience Jollof rice for so long, as my trip to Africa has been delayed I didn’t want to wait any longer for the rice. I decided to go to this place as I’ve always went there to enjoy Egusi and fufu. Today I decided that I would get the Jollof rice with chicken.. I was very disappointed the chicken was dry and the rice that I know as Jollof rice tasted like it was prepared in soy sauce. Ordered curry chicken it was very very spicy, couldn't enjoy my chicken or rice cuz my mouth was literally on fire. I never knew curry chicken could be so so spicy, had to throw it away cuz it was ridiculously spicy ????!!
