I am giving only 1 star for several reasons; ordered a hamburger with mayo, lettuce, onions and pickles; no tomatos. The burger was served with ketcup and tomatos. I had to send it back. The chicken salad sandwich had good flavor. Waitress said they were served with pickle wedges and chips, we NEVER recieved the pickles or the chips. Ordered an appetizer of onion rings; this was NEVER delivered to our table. When I went to pay, I had to tell the waitress not to charge for the onion rings because she never brought them to us and her response was "I must have taken them to the wrong table"; no one else in the restaurant had onion rings on their table. This was the first time we have eaten there and was very disappointed. We had to come home and fix extra food for dinner since the waitress left out most of our food AND we were charged full price for the dinner.

We stopped in on our way to Washington, NC. The TripAdvisor reviews raved about the catfish sandwich so we had to try it. The place is on the south side of unassuming as it at the front of a RV park. The staff and service were pleasant and timely. Our catfish sandwiches were delicious. The catfish was lightly fried and sweet. The rolls didn’t hold up too well.

Low cost food, great service, and you gotta get the chicken salad sandwich!

This really is a little hole in the wall diner. It's great! The food was really good (I was there at 8:30 am for breakfast). The sausage was amazing. There was 17-20 people in there my whole visit and 1 waitress. She was amazing. Made it all look so easy, very friendly, and the cost was so low I thought they forgot to charge me for something. I'll definitely going back so I can try lunch and dinner!

Shakers is a great restaurant. We've eaten there dozens of times. But I won't be back unless Laci or Joanne are cooking.

One word. Catfish.. We were driving back to NJ from Florida and wanted a local venue. Shaker's is only a minute off of I 95 so worth the stop. I ordered the pulled pork and hubs ordered the catfish sandwich. The pulled pork was ok- in all fairness there are so many varieties of pulled pork depending on the sauce. I asked for Cole slaw - didn't realize that was going to be on the sandwich. I took a bite of Hubs catfish and never gave it back. He finished my sandwich and enjoyed it very much. We loved the catfish sandwich so much ordered another one for the road. I wish we had arrived later in the day because for dinner they have a catfish platter. Cute little place , relaxed service. Would definitely recommend. Serves beer and wine and takes cc

I gave this 3 stars because it depends on what day of the week you choose to patronize this location. Our first two breakfasts (Wednesday and Saturday), I give 5 stars. The server (dark-haired mom that is homeschooling her daughter) is AMAZING! She was very attentive to ALL her customers. At the same time, she was making sure her daughter's needs were also met. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted great. My coffee cup was never empty and our server was right there whenever we needed her.On Monday, this place gets a zero. Our server (blonde lady with glasses) didn't take our order for 10 minutes and we were the only table in the place. As time went on the place filled up with what were obviously her "regulars." She only filled their coffees. She gave them free product. She wouldn't give us our check or take our money. She was rude when we went to the front to take care of our bill. The eggs were fried and not poached as ordered. The potatoes were burned. If she had been our server on our first visit, we would not have returned.

We loved this restaurant. We happen to stay in the RV park next-door and decided to try them for dinner. We found them to be affordable, friendly, and the best fried catfish we have ever had. We had six different meals, and everyone was very pleased with their meal. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is traveling or any locals nearby. We were disappointed they were closed for Sunday morning breakfast as we wanted to give their breakfast a try as well.

This is a small, family run place. Our favorite kind of place! Food was decent and service was good. Only downfall was there were flies flying around, several dead flies in the window ledges and discoloration around the air vents.
