First time visiting. What a find in Petersburg! Ate at the bar due to being so busy. Tiny was an awesome bartender and server!

I went to Kroger spot today . We waited about an hour before they seated us did we waited another hour before we got our food. The food was good. But if I had to be honest it seems like it was whatever. This was our first time . Always willing to support local business owners but also have to make sure it's a great experience for the people who come.

Today, my son and I came in for dinner. It was a follow up visit from a bad experience a few weeks before. My my my... they made up for it. I had the seafood platter, everything cooked to perfection. My son had the shrimp platter! Everything was delicious. I dropped my keys in the booth when leaving and couldn't get them out...UNTIL! Mrs NIY, came to my rescue. She was determined to get them keys. I thank her for her consistency and willingness to help. Thanks Niy ❤️

Food was good, some of our food was hot and some lukewarm, it was good. Manager was not personable and waiter took our orders and never came back to table not even for refills. So you know that tip shouldn't have been charged. O and i want to also mention the longggg wait. Arrived n seated @ 650pm didn't get food til 805pm. Then after we ate they took another 20minutes to bring our check n cash us out.

My family was in town for a week, we googled places near our hotel and found this spot. The menu looked amazing, the 6 of us went there and the atmosphere when we walked was great! The inside is very nice. We got seated immediately and after waiting at least 15 minutes we were greeted by our waitress. We all ordered waters and 3 alcohol beverages. At the same time we ordered our drinks we also ordered our food, after about another 20 minutes she brought out only 2 waters. Another 10 minutes went by we got the rest of our waters. We asked about our other drinks and she said she’d check on them. She brought 2 out of the 3 and blamed it on the bar for it taking so long. After that she never came back by to our table. We were out of waters and waiting on the 3rd beverage. It took about another 45 minutes to get our food. The manager is the one who brought our food to us. After all of our food arrived we had to flag down someone to bring us silverware. My daughter’s fish and mashed potatoes were ice cold. They offered to remake it but we had been there so long already my daughter didn’t want to wait. 3 of us had the shrimp and scallops plate. It was SO bland and not hot at all but not ice cold like the kids meal so we ate it. 2 of us order broccoli and it was terrible. No butter or salt or any seasonings on it. The only decent thing was the cornbread. My mom got a salad with grilled chicken, the chicken had zero flavor. After seeing all the great reviews we were shocked everything was so bad… especially with the high prices. The tables around us seemed to have had similar issues and issues with their servers disappearing. The manager was very kind and apologetic and took my daughters meal off but the rest of us were very disappointed we spent so much money for bland lukewarm food. Even though we ate super quick and left we were still in there for over 2 hours.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. I was in town for a women’s conference and had heard several church members mention it, so I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! I ordered the catfish dinner, and it was absolutely delicious. The sides were just as good. I had the red potatoes and greens, and the cornbread was amazing. It was the biggest piece of cornbread I’ve ever seen and tasted wonderful. When I return to Petersburg, I’ll definitely be back!

Was in town to visit family, and for work on post. Came in for a early dinner and was connected with Norman. He is definitely an angel, and I am so grateful to have met him. Grief will sting you at any given time without notice....that day, it came and Norman's presence reassured me that everything will be ok! I am grateful for him! Food was amazing as usual and the atmosphere was great! Absolutely beautiful and what a better way to be in the middle of history.

Saturday, 5pm , The cashier, Zuri, was very respectful and polite. She worked with me when I didn't have the right amount of cash. I asked if it was okay and she was so kind to me. She let me take my time to count out everything and I didn't sense any hostility from her. She had a lot of patience and kindness, we need more people like her in the service industry.

We visited for dinner around 6pm on 9/6/2025.I will start by saying that the food is fantastic. Well worth the wait from time of order to the time the food is served since clearly the entrees are made fresh. Our waitress was personable and friendly. Our server was great. The host that takes names for seating was great. The issue was the bartender( didn't catch her name but ahe was wearing a leopard print headband). There were 4 of us and while myself and my friend were in the restroom Our husbands went to the bar. We joined them and there were only 2 seats. The bartender said she would not/ could not serve us unless we were all seated. Another party said they were finished and that woul give myself and my friend a place to sit since there were already 2 empty seats. The bartender told the other party not to do that because she did not want us up there because she did not want to serve us. I am unsure why she didn't want to serve us as we were all 100% sober and we were all friendly. We opted not to make a scene and went back to wait for our table. Once we were seated we did order 3 mixed drinks as well as an appetizer and dinner. I am still unclear as to why the bartender obviously had an issue with us. That incident did impact the over all experience. We spent nearly $300 on food, drinks and tip. I am not sure we will come back due to the bartenders unprovoked issue with us. It really is unfortunate since the food and the rest of the customer service was fantastic.
