Tortilleria Mixteca Petersburg

This used to be a really great place to eat, especially when I was feeling home sick. However, since it's been sold to other people it's not the same. I understand it can be be off putting with communication barriers, but it just down right uncomfortable. Even when you speak Spanish they act like they can't understand you and won't serve you anything. They have a menu and cooks in the back, but will tell you no when you ask for things on the menu. I asked for guacamole and they have a refrigerator with fresh avocado in the main lobby, but the lady told me no despite the man telling me yes and went to the back to make it. Damn shame the other people left, I won't be back.

This place seemed like a good place, good food, but this last time the lady who works there scammed me. She gave me some pieces of meat and charged me for it as a complete order. Be more serious, lady, I will never visit this place again.

Food is old and way too expensive for the location, no air conditioning inside and flies flying around, workers working with no gloves and no hair nets and the place is dirty and disgusting. The food was not seasoned at all, 2 pieces of chicharonne small rice and beans was $16.

Food was amazing! would’ve been easier if I’d brushed up on my Spanish to order my food instead of pointing. But definitely worth It, it’s officially my “taco spot” to suggest to friends. Tacos were fresh & authentic for $3 each.

I have never liked to give bad opinions but to be honest the food looks very overheated and the lady who charges is not very honest to charge, she charges you what she wants not what it is I hope the owner takes action on the matter of what you should and makes the necessary changes especially in the hygiene of the place!!
