Staff was very friendly and inviting! The food was good, although maybe a little pricey which is understandable for a local business. The atmosphere of the place should've been 5 stars, but there was some sour smell near the bathrooms. I'm not sure if it was coming from the bathrooms or the kitchen, but I'm hoping it was the bathrooms.

2 months ago:Walking into Pangaea Coffee Emporium was like stepping into a jungle! cascading vines and vibrantly colored plants filled the space, making me want to curl up with a book for hours. My partner and i were planning on grabbing a drink and a bite to eat, but a sign by the door caught our eye - only service animals allowed (we had our little yorkie in my bag!) slightly bummed, I ran back to the car to snag my partner's order while I soaked in the atmosphere. even though the pup policy was a bit of a letdown, the customer service was fantastic. we went with a hot and iced salted caramel latte - the caramel flavor was rich and perfectly balanced with the coffee. We also tried their breakfast burrito, even though we're not usually burrito fans. Let me tell you, this burrito was incredible! we ended up enjoying our drinks and food in the car (after snapping a million pictures of the gorgeous interior, of course). Next time, we'll definitely leave the pup at home so we can fully experience the beautiful green ambiance and maybe try some of those tempting specialty drinks they have on the menu.Edited review 5/9/24:I've always been a big supporter of local coffee shops, so I initially rated this place five stars. However, I recently had an experience that left me disappointed and has unfortunately changed my opinion.I went in excited to redeem my rewards, including a $10 off birthday reward, but none of the staff seemed to know how to apply them. This resulted in me having to pay full price despite the rewards I had earned. As someone who loves supporting local businesses, I understand that life is expensive, and these rewards can make a big difference for customers like me. It's disheartening to spend so much money to earn rewards, only to find out that they can't be redeemed due to staff not being familiar with the process.I hope this feedback is helpful, and that the team receives proper training so others can easily use their rewards in the future. While this location and its sister store may not be my first choice going forward, I genuinely hope this issue is resolved to enhance the overall customer experience.

Went to both locations Poquoson was way better I have to say without seeing a receipt BOTH times I think I was over charged The first time after looking at the menu we got two drinks that were five dollars and change and then two burritos which were nine dollars and change and yet somehow my bill was $42 that doesn’t really make sense We went today to The Anderson’s location and again we only got two coffees and a pastry and it came out to over $20 does not make any sense but we did not see the receipt Five dollars and a pastry is four dollars how are they coming to those totals? Anyway coffee was made way better at the poquoson location and the burrito was old

My favorite coffee shop! It's definitely an experience. I ordered a latte and a breakfast sandwich. You must see this place in person.

Wow, just wow. The food is so good I caught myself giggling haha. The Baja burritos (both breakfast and lunch) are incredible. This is my second time here and again, just wonderful. The atmosphere is 10/10, absolutely gorgeous. Today, we were served by Grace and she went above and beyond to help me find the perfect drink for me. This is now my favorite coffee and breakfast spot in Hampton roads!

This hidden gem blew my mind! It came highly recommended and this place delivered! The minute you walk in the door, you are greeted by a mirrored waterfall enclosed in greenery. The menus are posted at the counter. We started with a specialty coffee, the iced red velvet, and the iced matcha. Delicious doesn't even describe this drink. My friend said that her matcha was the best she had ever had! The red velvet iced latte was decadent and dessert worthy. The decor is beyond beautiful and breathtaking. There is tons of greenery and many different seating options. I like that you can chat and not feel overheard. We tried the Ramangna flat bread, and it was so good. Just theperfect combination of flavors. The pastries were sold out except for the last gochujang sugar cookie. It was recommended to us, so we grabbed it. It is to die for. It has a spiciness to it. It tastes almost like a chai latte or oatmeal cookie taste with a kick. You have to try it to believe it. We will definitely be back to try more of this eclectic menu.

The café doesn't really look like much when you first pull up. A plain-colored building kinda off in a nook. When you walk in you are greeted with warm lighting and green everywhere. The atmosphere was one of my favorite parts about this place and the main reason I decided to dine in. The coffee well brewed and the price for one of their specialty drinks was not unreasonable. The food however I felt was a bit overpriced for what all was in it. Just for a small sandwich with egg, bacon, cheese and sauce on an ok bun for 7. Would not go there for food but definitely for the coffee and the vibe
