I was working nearby Googled restaurants near me felt I was in such luck a Schooner's just 2.5 miles from me. Love the one in Newport News. Note that it's not a busy time based on their website. Awesome I arrive 10 people clustered at the bar two tables a 4 top and a deuce. I ask the hostess can I get a quick to go order " sure " I order a Black and Blue Chicken Wrap side spinach salad at 1:52 pm no one else enters no other food is being served. And I'm waiting after 15 minutes I'm trying to find my hostess/server that took my order no where to be seen. At the 20 minute mark she passes me and says it will be right out they are wrapping it up. Again she disappears at 25 after I ask the bartender to find out what the hold up is five minutes ago it was being packaged. The hostess finally comes out with bag telling me she realized they didn't include the lettuce and tomato so she had them add it took an extra minute.I take order now at 2:27pm to my car I need to return to work reach in grab 1/2 the wrap wait no lettuce and tomato in the box? Ummm the wrap is grilled pressed so what ever is inside was unit when it was made like the lettuce and tomato. Now this is supposed to be a Cajun seasoned backed chicken breast with blue cheese well nothing Cajun about this chicken it might of had salt and pepper on it and there was a creamy sauce but it wasn't blue cheese it tasted more like ranch or a poor quality tartar sauce. Add to that there was no napkins in the bag or utensils to eat the spinach salad with I sad to say this not the Schooners you have come to know and love in Newport News save yourself drive the 22 minutes and get the real deal.The only redeeming factor of this visit was the hostess had a smile on her face when she greeted me and when she fabricated the story of having to add lettuce and tomato to my order which caused it to be an additional 7 minutes longer wait. Oh and she gave me a complimentary cup of ice cubes.

Love this Poquoson restaurant. Great dinner spot, GREAT staff, and fun environment. Has a cute outside patio area for warmer weather. The food is great whether dining in or weeknight carry out!

My wife had the Rodeo burger And onion rings. The Onion rings were so greasy she couldn't eat them and The Burger was cold . I had the Burger with a fried egg . The egg had runny whites and the Burger was cold and My French fries were under cooked and cold .My daughter ordered the steak bites that were over cooked and tasted like they had been Microwaved and had been setting under the heat light sence lunch. And at the cost of 60.00 was Ridiculous. . This place will never make it ! This is a fare WARNING to go to Wendy's if you want a hot juice Burger. They should be ashamed of the quality of the food we were served. Never ever will we Recommend or step foot in this place . REMEMBER YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!
LOVE THIS PLACE!!! it was $65 for four people, the food was cheap and amazing. the staff were so nice and the overall atmosphere is fun and exciting.

The servers were great. The food was great. Unfortunately it was so damn loud we couldn't talk to each other sitting at the same table. They really need to put in baffling of some sort. Don't think I'm being dramatic either. It was so loud it actually hurt my ears physically.
Sunday brunch don't bother! Brought out two breakfast sandwiches with stone cold sausage, bacon and potatoes! Brought out two new orders and didn't bother to fix the problem of the cold vats to premade meals and potatoes? Coffee was another issue if you like more than one cup within a half an hour apart... come on guys get with it! Won't be back. Gross

Stopped here after church and it was busy but we got seated right away. Food was good and atmosphere was nice. It seems a little pricey at first but then you get a generous portion of food. We had the fish and chips, brunch Benedict, rodeo burger and BLT. All great dishes but my favorite was the onion rings!
