This place has great potential and I'm really hoping they get their service act together. The food is great but they don't have enough Staff to cover customers. Phone goes unanswered and whe. They do pick it up they share that they are understaffed and your on hold until you hang up. Go in to order and the poor bartender is overwhelmed. Trying his best to keep up but that should not be the case. Someone get the young man some help. Again great food bit they are chimping on staffing which could drive people away. I'm still go back! Hope it's better next time. I won't write them off unless they are consistently bad

We were really excited to try this place. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Our server was not personable and not attentive. She was the only server working when we arrived; however, the restaurant was not packed.
Once we ordered, it took about an hour to come. Again, the restaurant was not crowded. Also, about 30-45 minutes into our wait, they said that they were out of collards. There was no explanation or notice for the food delay – which visibly impacted other patrons.
Once we finally got our food, it was mediocre at best. Not sure what was going on, but overall our experience was not good. I got pork chops, mashed potatoes and cabbage and my friend got BBQ salmon, yams and macaroni and cheese. Really wanted to support a local business during NSU homecoming weekend, but ended up very disappointed.

Food was amazing. So glad to have stumbled upon this restaurant. I had catfish, collards, and macaroni and cheese. My friend had the same but with potato salad, which was 🔥, and the yams. We both got cornbread which was amazing also. The sweet tea was very delicious. Being from the south, it’s hard to find places that actually know how to make it. We will definitely be back again and again.
Went here with my entire family for a birthday dinner for sister in law. We were seated right away. We notice a live band person was setting up to play music. The waitress was not as attentive to our table as she had long periods without coming to our table. The manager went to other tables to check on customers but neglected the biggest table in the room us. The food was very very good and came out hot and fresh. It did take a little longer than I would have like for my food but when it did come out if was delicious. The waitress had us wait over 10 min to put a drink order in. We ordered alcoholic drinks and she forgot them twice. We asked her when 15-20 min past and we didn't get a drink. She said shoot i forgot was said yes you did. She eventually bought the first set of drinks out. We ordered refills on our alcoholic beverage but they never came out. We are and paid for our meals and drinks still never came. We reminded her when we asked for the check and told her nevermind we wanted it with our meal but we done eating. Outside of the waitress the place was a very nice spot to eat at and hear music while you eat. Will come back just don't want that waitress. And if you like using silverware you won't get any here. Plastic forks and spoon in plastic with napkins is all you get. Still was able to eat but beautiful plates but Plastic utensils.

I originally ordered cabbage and it had bo seasoning and it tasted fishy . The gravy for the pork chops was very thick and burnt tasting and like it was cooked from the packet . They had already put hot sauce or something on my pork chops which is very weird. Overall it wasn’t good.
