Everything was great, the prices for the bread items I purchased, and the variety. I atmosphere reminded of being a little girl shopping with my mommy in the late 1980s when Murray's Steak House was in Suffolk Virginia on Portsmouth Blvd. I miss my mom, but Flowers Bakery Outlet gave me a Happy memory. I had forgotten about being with my mom.... that's probably why I ended up buying $7 plus of bread today....something I don't really eat much of.

The reason i rated this store a 2 is because I arrived at this location a little after 430pm, and the store was closed. The hours on the door said 930-6pm. There were employees inside with the lights off and would not come to the door. I wish the store would update their hours online and on the door so that people don't drive to this store and waste their time.

Super customer service and name brand bread products like Dave's Killer Bread, Wonder, and Nature's Own for $2 a bag. You can't be at these prices and we freeze most of ours to make it last longer.

I gotta thank this place for remaining open. It's a true treasure. They keep an assortment of super affordable fresh breads, pastries, and goodness. They also carry the grain bread with the nuts on it similar to what they serve at First Watch. Yum! You gotta try it out if you hadn't.. It's not big, it's not a huge assortment, but it's plentiful. Stores like this are disappearing yet serving better service than box store at the same price.

I needed a coconut cake for a very special friend for his birthday and I would have had to place an order for that 2 weeks before I went there, the owner said that the best she could do was coconut cupcakes and I said ok,thankyou, she made them fresh on Saturday morning and they were ready at 11am Saturday. This is where I will return in the future for cakes and cupcakes, they were so delicious & my friend was very excited to be able to get the cupcakes he also said that they were the best he ever had!!. While I was there I ordered a 12 oz. Chocolate milk shake & the owner asked me if I liked a thick shake and of course I said yes please, it was delicious, nobody makes a shake special order like she did, I can't hardly wait until I get a chance to go out for a treat, I will return to KOOKIES again and again & anybody that reads this post should go there and try for yourself, It's the best!!!!!.
