Wanted some oxtails but didn’t want to go to my normal place MP Island, it was further than I wanted to travel that day. I Goggled and found Happy Time. I arrived food looked good, ordered, but then the person fixing my plate asked me to tip them, that was a red flag for me immediately. I’ve never had the person preparing my plate asked for a tip. I ordered two plates and the cost was $40-&45 I was like wow. Come to find out the same plate at my normal spot is at least $4-$5 less per plate. Guess I won’t be going to Happy Time again.
P.S. People making the plates, please stop asking for tips, put up a tip cup or something going forward.

If you want Jamaican food don't go here. It's too Americanized. The oxtails taste like beef stew. The goat tastes like lightly seasoned meat. Service was good and you will feel welcomed not when I go to a restaurant I want to taste what the restaurant is advertising. For the price of 22.99 a meal I could've went to a mom and pop soul food dinner for less of that's the taste I was looking for. It's a strong no for me on the return visit.
The best around. Goat is excellent. Chicken is excellent. When we are delivering in the area we get excited because we know what's for lunch. When I'm in a 20 mile radius I will always stop by for the best food around. Portions are excellent and prices are fair

Everything was well seasoned. Even the rice. The stew chicken was juicy! It tastes like it was marinating. The green beans were perfectly salted. The mac and cheese looked good. I'm going to have to try that next time 👍🏽
