The best Penang curry ever!! It is as delicious as the one I tried when I visited Malaysia. I came here because my friend told me. The restaurant was closed for a while before. Now, they open!! If you like authentic Thai food in Portsmouth area then this is the place you are looking for. It’s so comforting and definitely will be a regular here.Their mango sticky rice is also recommended.

The food was amazing; it reminded me of home cooked food. The service was professional/personal; the server was very politely attentive. Plus the atmosphere is clean and homey. I went yesterday and I'm ordering something different tonight. So good.

This place is ABSOLUTELY INSANE I went here last minute because I was walking out of a tattoo shop and I smelled food and I was like "what's that smell" I ran there to get food. And let's just say I WILL BE RUNNING BACK THE FOOD WAS OFF THE CHAIN. HAD MY TOES TINGLING. I had got the fried dumplings, chicken Santay, and Krapow Kai Dow. And I fell in love.. LITERALLY I will be risking the tunnel tow for this. And the lady was also nice I left my wallet in the restaurant and she ran out to give it to me I usually don't do google reviews but this place deserves it

It is dinner in Moms kitchen, literally. They make you feel welcome. This was my introduction into Thai. I ordered the Pad See Ew and a Thai coffee. Both were very delicious! I was so happy I ordered crab rangoon, crispy tofu, and Thai dumplings to go, for my son. All came with a select dipping sauce. He said they were all good. Personally, I think fried foods are best eaten dine in. Definitely will be back to try a chicken entree.

Delicious Thai food! Thai is among my favorites cuisines, when my mom moved to Portsmouth and we noticed, we knew we had to give it a try. We've been 3 times now and it has never disappointed. Our first visit, we ate in the restaurant. The eating area is small, but spaced out enough you don't feel you are on top of other guests, let's call it cozy. We were greeted with smiles and hellos from the employees and sat promptly. The next times, we ordered ahead and picked up the food. When arriving, again we were promptly greeted and asked if we wanted a seat. Let them know we ordered ahead, and after a quick glance let us know it would be just a few more minutes. As for the food, it is outstanding. Everything we've tried so far has been delicious. The curries, the noodle dishes, the appetizers, and desserts left me craving more even though I was so full. Anytime I come down to visit my mom, if we are wondering where to eat, Mom & Son Thai will always be at the top of my list.

My daughter introduced me to this lovely quaint off to the side restaurant what maybe small in size, but the food makes up for it hands down. I hand the chicken vegetable Pad Thai with red mild thai sause and Thai lumpia spring rolls. The portions are generously large and not at all spicy. For the price you can't go wrong. Try the Thai tea you can't put it down. And to top it all off the hospitality was very warm and inviting made us feel like we where long standing patrons and it had only been my second time. Recommend them highly

Really good Thai food, Best I've had in Virginia. The first time we went wasn't so good, but since they changed ownership it is outstanding. Had Pad Tai, Beef Jerky, Sticky Rice, and Papaya Salad, so far everything was excellent, and the waitress was so nice. They make the food with pride, and you can tell it.

Had the Pad Thai with veggies and tofu. Sauce was good but veggies were soggy and tofu was a different temperature from my noodles, suggesting they were cooked previously and added last minute. Service was very slow. First time here and not sure if I will be back.

This place is one of a kind. I have been here several times with my mother and every time we go it is delicious. I try something different each time. Everything I get has great taste, quality and quantity. You get plenty of food for the price. I even have enough for a second meal. The owners are very friendly. I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this restaurant.
