I have eaten here before and the food is fantastic. I did not get to eat here this time around however because they closed almost three hours prior to the time that they have posted on Google and on their own door. No explanation was given as to why they were closing early. So at this point, in my opinion they are unreliable. What restaurant closes at 7 pm (especially on a Friday night)?

Believe the hype… hands down the absolute BEST soul food around. It has been extremely hard to find a good, consistent soul food place, and let me tell you, there isnt a place around that can compare. The entrees and side are delish. A little pricey, but well worth it. The food is made to order so, there is a little wait, but when I tell you its worth it… you will not be disappointed.

Took my family after early morning service and we had brunch. Chef David, the food was so delicious, we placed orders for dinner. We'll, definitely be patronizing this Soul Good Restaurant again in the very near future.

Listen, I have been trying to find good Soul Food since I moved to Virginia. 8 yrs ago! I found it! I ordered Turkey wings with Mac N cheese and Collards. Everything was SO GOOD!! They took a little long to make it but the taste made up for it!!!! Very good!

I know I don't look like the usual customer at a soul food restaurant, but I have eaten this style of food up and down the east coast, from Harlem to Atlanta. This is some of the best, no nonsense southern (Louisiana flair) soul food I have ever had. The shrimp and grits was a spiritual experience. We needed a second stomach to fit how much fried chicken we wanted to devour. David the owner was personable and friendly, despite being obviously exhausted - he told me they do the catering for major venues nearby and had just handled catering for Janet Jackson. Yeah, I believe it, the food was that good.

Came in today and had a rib sandwich and some Mac and cheese and collard greens. The rib sandwich was ot of this world!!! The mac and cheese was perfect and I'm picky about my mac yo. My friend got the crab cakes with fried cabbage and seasoned rice. I got some hot honey sticky wings with fries to take home. That didnt make it half way home. They were incredible. I need more. Everything was amazing. That cabbage was like nothing we have ever had. The service was great. The environment was nice and quiet. All around great spot. Will be back for sure!!!
