The food is generally very good. However, the night we were there the lamb chops were overcooked, and didn't seem up to the quality we've had before at Still. Could just be a supplier problem, because otherwise the food is very good and very fresh.

This is our go to place for date nights and such, but I would say that last night will probably be the last in a long time and we will be looking for other places to go.Food was not nearly as good as it normally is, the cod was almost cold and the kicker was this “special” our waiter was raving about that we had to get…potato soup, just a nicely portioned cup size of good, but not great, potato soup. $15…for a cup of potato soup.We are not cheap by any stretch, understand the pricing of the establishment, and will happily pay what the food is worth. But $15 for a cup of decent potato soup is wild. It felt cheap, like the Still is scratching for a quick fix of money or something.Just rubbed us the wrong way and I can’t get excited about going back anymore. It’s a shame because it’s my favorite local restaurant.

First off, the serving staff were 5 star plus the bar, but let's get down about the food and background story. The restaurant opend in 10/2008. I found out I had Celiac, gluten problem in 04/2009, found out about "Still" later 2009 and it was a 90 something % gluten-free menu. I fell in love with the joint. We visited 2-4 times a year. I've watched kitchen/bar/server staff come/go for almost 15yrs. I think the original Chief/ Owner's name was Mike (?). He would "ALWAYS" come out to the dinning area for a meet/greet if not to busy in the kitchen to ask how you were and how was the food. Well, Mike (?) branched out with other investment colleagues, opening other restaurants in the 757 and the service went up/down over a decade. Tonight's Menu Choices - *No fresh gluten-free baget like before, just some over toasted gluten-free melba like toast. *She Crap Dip: Re-label, she crap soup with cheese. *Roasted Brussel Sprouts - Luke warm *Duck Tacos (My Favorite)- The Aeoli has changed over the many years, depending on what new Chief is in the kitchen, but the duck meat was just above "Luke Warm." and the parsley or/maybe arugula (?) was wilted as hell. *Cajun Pasta- one real shrimp, you can see its little tail sticking up in the pick. There were a few IHOP style tiny salad shrimp in there, but the kitchen over compensated the dish with Andouille Sausage *Bone Marrow - Love the meat jelly, it's not popular in the south, was "SO HAPPY" you put in on the menu, my wife never tried, I took the "LITTLE SPOON" scraped it out, put it on a piece of G/F toast and fed it to her. Guess what, THAT, was the only slather of meat jelly between both bones! Nice filling of parsley & garlic, filling the other spaces. *Scallops were perfect! If the ordinal Chief/Owner is listening, come back and get your kitchen in order Sir! Didn't you once say you went primarily gluten-free on the menu for a family member Sir? BTW, bring the Sunday brunch back, miss that Crab Omelet & Mimosas dude.

LoI gave it a 5 rating. The food we ordered was excellent. The service was excellent and the food came out just right timing. We had just the right amount to eat our dessert called for a chocolate dessert but no chocolate. It was disappointing dessert for a chocolate lover.

What an amazing spot. Loved the tapas or small plates they offered. The food, cocktails, and atmosphere are just really fun and totally worth the trip to Portsmouth!!

We enjoyed Still! Great vibes and unique downstairs speakeasy vibes... they have an expansive wrap-around bar area with tons of bar seating and then high-top and couches to hang out. We dined in the main dining room and our server, Christopher, was excellent. He paid just enough attention to us, was able to answer easy questions, and quickly resolved any issues we had. The food was so-so... probably a 3. But the ambiance, bar and service were solid 5 so I'm rounding up to 3.8-4. We had: -a few mocktails and whiskey drinks - great prices and huge selection of whiskey and wine -crab dip -halloumi caprese -veggie dumplings -seared tuna -bison meatloaf -raspberry cobbler The crab dip was SO salty. Toast points were delicious and perfectly toasted but the dip itself was sooooo salty. The dumplings and capers were very good. Tuna and bison meatloaf were delish. We asked for the tuna to be medium/well/well bc I'm pregnant and it wasn't right at first, but was quickly remedied by the kitchen. VERY good and served with a side of seaweed salad. The raspberry cobbler was disappointing. Next time, we'd go with the whiskey bread pudding. It was served as two little cups... kind'a plain and not that special. All in all - unique and fun. We'd love to come back and hang at the bar and get some apps. Parking was easy on the street or a nearby lot.

Came here on a date yesterday and immediately loved the swing music and lighting. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu, no need to write any of it down! The chief came out yesterday and personally talked us through how the dishes were made, and was extremely polite and down to earth. Made this spot "our special spot" and will never forget it. Will definitely be back.

What a cute little place to have a nice first date. The food sizes are small, like finger food portions. (Tapas), so get plenty and share. (Portions are too small, need to be a little bigger) The staff is friendly and helpful. The drinks are really good and the food was okay. I can't say it was the best I've ever had, but I would say that it's more the experience. The food is well seasoned. The she crab dip was extremely rich. I would suggest you eat it with the bread. (Which I wish was a bit softer) The shrimp scampi was a little disappointing. 2 shrimp 2 scallops and a spoon full of crab meat spread around the plate. I would go back for a quick little bite to eat and a drink on my way to a social event that was serving appetizers so that I felt I had enough to eat for the day.

My dinner came 10 minutes before partners. Food was cold and bland, several ingredients were left off of desserts. Plates were not cleared between courses, and were piled on our small table, dessert brought while still eating dinners and soup. Server never checked on us just rudly brought food to the table and turned quickly away. Didn't let the horrible service ruin our evening, but we will not return.

We ate dinner last night at Still. We have been many times and once in a while there might be a minor issue. Last night was the exception. We started with the toasted baguette with lemon zest butter. The baguette was toasted and cut into slices, as it usually is. The butter was so hard you could not spread it on the bread. So we just ate clumps of the butter on the baguette. My hubby ordered the pot pies. They were very dry and extremely salty and not very hot-temperature wise. I had the filet over masked potatoes. The steak was cooked as I ordered but the potatoes were cold. For dessert I ordered the S'mores. The marshmallows were huge and rock hard. I could not cut them in half with my knife. I tried to cook them over the flame from the pot that came with them and before they were soft or cooked, the flame went out. The S'mores also were not presented with the requested chocolate sauce. Our waiter was very attentive and we thought he did an excellent job. We do not hold him responsible for the issues with the food. We were so disappointed as we have eaten at Still many times and we now consider if we'll go back. We've never had issues with the entire meal, and we were one of just a few tables at the time, so the kitchen was not rushed by an onslaught of people. The price for a dinner of such inferior quality is prohibitive when thinking about eating at Still again.

Bar was awesome but that was the only part. Food took forever and came out absolutely cold. Way too $$ for what you get. Go for drinks, bartenders are the best!!

We have always loved coming to Still. Unfortunately this might have to come to an end due to having one of our worst restaurant experience's. After sitting for almost a hour watching all the tables around us getting food, drinks, and actual service we got one dish. Whilst every other table around us seemingly getting food. After the first interaction with our server she seemed to be avoiding us for the rest of the evening until the end. During the rest of our experience a different server was tending to us. To no fault of her own we were like an afterthought. I can only assume we were a last minute add on to her other tables. And when we did receive a couple other dishes after the hour we waited and after mentioning to someone, they were barely hot. The soup was almost cold. Which in turn they just threw in the microwave and brought back. Didn't change the bowl or the spoon at all so the bowl was scorching hot. When we asked to speak to a manager she let us know that she was in fact the manager on duty that night. She took of two of our dishes in the end. Even though we had a reservation it appeared as if they were not able to handle the amount of customers they had appropriately. Hopefully this was just a fluke experience and no one else has to deal with service like this.
