If you find this review you have found a gem. This place is great. Vietnam 81 is owned and operated by locals. The food is amazing and the drinks are awesome too. I must recommend #28 which is a wonderful vermicelli dish. The spring rolls are amazing and the smoothies taste like they were picked off of a tree. Fresh and wonderful are the words that come to mind. If you like coffee, order a Vietnamese Coffee. It is amazing. Highly recommend and I always go back.

I was in Portsmouth and craving Pho. Google brought me to this place. It's right of George Washington Hwy. We went on Saturday afternoon, and we're seated served right away. It's a basic establishment, nothing fancy and somewhat dated. We ordered the egg rolls for an appetizer. I had the chicken pho and my friend ordered the pork and rice. By far the best Pho I’ve ever had, the beef broth is phenomenal and clear, the tofu is perfectly cooked and all of the vegetables are fresh! I always get the fresh spring rolls as well, which are flavorful and the perfect size. The service is so friendly, and they are a wonderful small business to support if you love amazing Vietnamese food, the best of your life!
