This cozy little cafe style restaurant may be in a random spot, but it is fantastic. It offers gourmet sandwiches at a very reasonable price. All of the food is delicious and the staff is friendly. This shop’s aesthetic vibe hits as soon as you step out of your car. It’s obvious this building was not built to be a cafe, but it works. We had heard this was a great place to eat at from others on our kayak trip earlier in the day. It lived up to its reputation. They serve a variety of deli meat sandwiches. I got a pastrami, sauerkraut, and knockwurst sandwich. My son got a grilled cheese. We also had a slice of strawberry cake and a homemade ice-cream cookie sandwich.

We made a great decision. Food is reasonably priced, fresh, and delicious. The folks that worked there very friendly as well.
This is a trip we do a few times a year and Cafe ar Maidens will definitely be part of our trip planning.
