First visit. Maryland crab soup, smash burger, onion rings and a club sandwich. Everything was excellent and Amy was so helpful and friendly!!! She told us about 1933 down the street which we’re going to book for Mother’s Day brunch. Menu looks amazing.
We have tried the bean burger, hotdog, tuna melt, french fries and seasoned steamed shrimp. All have been good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We like to eat outside at the small park across the street.
Maxey’s is what gives Powhatan that small town charm that seems to be slipping away. It’s a place to remember how important it is whether you’re joining in for a community event or getting that post practice/game treat.
