Hokkaido Japanese Steakhouse

The clear soup and sushi were absolutely incredible. The spring rolls were pretty good. The hibachi unfortunately did not meet expectations. The rice just tasted like plain rice with soy sauce, there was no eggs or anything special. The noodles had a very weird flavor to them. Their sauces overall just had a weird bitter flavor. The shrimp was pretty decent. I did sit at a table and did not go to the grill, that may have been a mistake on my end.

Speaking only for the hibachi but the soup in the beginning was not good. It honestly tasted like warm water with very little flavor. Hooefully it was just an off day. Salad was fine as well as the rest of the food was ok! Thankfully we got an interactive chef because I was watching the table in front of us and felt bad for them. We got 2 adult meals, 2 kids meals and 2 adult beverages and the total was $150. I was surprised it was that high as I just got the chicken. Turns out they added gratuity for our family of 4 which I thought was strange as most places only do thar for larger parties. I was not paying attention to see if there were any signs or anything stating they do this. Overall ok, but pricey.

Everyone was really friendly, so much so that I feel bad for giving a poor review. But, we eat hibachi a lot & the chefs typically use a few different spatulas to prevent cross-contamination from things like raw chicken to cooked noodles that are literal seconds from being served. Tried to ignore that our chef here used one spatula for everything, serving noodles with the spatula he’d just used to put raw chicken on the grill & started eating to find that the steak tasted like bologna… I have no idea how that happened, new experience for us. Then on top of that the scallops tasted super fishy. My husband has a sensitive stomach and what little he ate wound up in the bathroom toilet before we left.

Came in on a whim, and oh my, my taste buds were dancing! Highly recommend this restaurant — super authentic with an amazing wait staff, like Cindy. You must try their Maui sushi rolls 😋. The picture doesn’t do it justice.

This place is a sleeper. Everything tasted so fresh and still had great flavor. Got maui roll and chicken hibachi. 40 mins away but will definitely be back. Cindy is also the sweetest waitress.

We went there today for my brother's birthday! It was a very nice experience, very entertaining and fun to watch. The rice did lack a little seasoning (salt, pepper, etc), but that doesn't make or break the experience. The restaurant looked very clean from what I could see, and I could even smell freshly cleaned tables as we were leaving. I did notice some slight issues with the interior, such as tape wrapped around the rail for their ramp, but again that's not a big issue. I was able to use it without any problems (I'm currently using a wheelchair as I recover from surgery) to help pull myself up as we were leaving. I would be happy to visit again, and hope to when I'm fully healed. Thanks so much for being so accommodating! 💖

Great customer service. The sushi was very delicious. The drinks were good. Everything was good. Had a great time. I recommend this place. You have to try it. It’s also quite not much noise. Loved it.
