My husband and I were looking forward to an elevated lunch at Magnolia's. My aim is to give a fair review that will help others make an informed choice. Throughout college I worked in the restaurant industry, so I have an inside perspective. My husband and my kids ALWAYS say I tip too much. (1) The parking at Magnolia's would think that you are going to have a Michelin Star experience (not so much). (2) Upon entering, we approached the hostess stand and she continued...
Maybe our best meal yet! Everything was extra delicious...cocktails, crab fritters, steak, beef tenderloin pasta, butterscotch bread pudding, White Russian with homemade pumpkin syrup (crazy good).. what a dinner! Our server was extra excited about the fall menu drop. It was a super Friday!
Food is delicious. I have a hard time getting over the fact that during a date, at the bar, the overhead fans were turned on during a wedding reception and dust from the fans cascades down onto everyone's plates. The dust was moldy and green. The bartender offered to move us to the other side and comped our dessert. Meanwhile we never finished our main course because it was tainted. For the price, I expected better service, and better intelligence on the management part.
