Great food and great service. A little secret, the wings are awesome here. Nice and crunchy with good sauce. Highly recommend!

The food was terrible, it was literally wet beef. We took a few bites picked at it and decided it was garbage and just left. No seasonings barely any ingredients other than the main one which was trash. Taco bell makes better tacos than this garbage. Never going back

We've been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the food. Its your typical Mexican food but they do it pretty well. The service is always good. The Margaritas are on point. The only negative thing I can say is that they have a ridiculous charge for using your debit or credit card there. Don't charge me for trying to pay for my meal....

We were slow to try this place after moving here, not sure why. The food was great and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be going back.

My boyfriend and I were headed to one of our usual Mexican restaurants when we happened to see Julio's. We figured we'd give them a try. There were nice reviews and it was closer. The experience went from lackluster to absolutely disgusting. The chips for the chips and salsa were stale. I didn't think much of it. Everyone can have an off day. We got our burritos and it was the most visually boring burrito I ever saw. Think school cafeteria. I didn't take a picture because I hadn't planned to write a review. The taste was mediocre at best. That covers the lackluster portion of this review. Now for the disgusting. I got to the end of my burrito del Mar and I sh*t you not, the shrimp hadn't been cleaned. I've never been so disgusted. I took it inside. Showed the manager the nastiness, to his credit he was also disgusted. I asked for it to be taken off of the bill and he removed it. I left quietly. I'm only writing a review now because it feels wrong not to. Eat at your own risk but be vigilant.

The food here is not good. The food is very effortless and ill prepared. Ordered the Burrito Blanco, a chicken burrito with vegetables in it. The chicken was extremely dry and was clearly not fresh. Vegetables were literally the kind you can go to the grocery store and get frozen in a bag. A horrible mix of chopped green beans, corn and carrots. Extremely extortive prices. The sides are probably my biggest gripe. I can order a $3 cup of 2oz. (The size of a ketchup packet) worth of sour cream. Or I can go to the grocery store right next door and get 8 times that amount for $2. It is classified as a “side” as well as some of their other “sides” which are an array of different sauces for way too much money given the prices.

The actually atmosphere of the restaurant leaves much to be desired. Cramped, loud, hot and barely any room to move around. I do not recommend coming here if you have need for any extra space. You can eat outside if the weather is preferable as they have additional seating.

Although this is absolutely not meant to be derogatory and I am only being honest. Because of the loudness of the restaurant, it is very difficult to understand the waiting staffers accents. If you are hard at hearing or have difficulty with thick accents I recommend trying to come when less busy.

I personally will never be coming back here and I do not recommend coming here. This places clearly knows it’s one of the only Mexican restaurants around and uses that knowledge to cash grab their patrons while providing mediocre food.

Good food and service but find the portions smaller than other restaurants in Mechanicsville we eat at alot. Service is great and food is good.
