Latino's Taste offers deeply flavorful food, especially the birria tacos and Salvadoran tamales. The birria tacos combo was a highlight, featuring tender meat and amazing dip. The salsa and chips are fantastic, with excellent heat, and the unique slaw served with tamales was special. Vegetarians will appreciate the authentic taste and generous serving size. The restaurant is also known for its tasty pupusas and delicious Tortas, a filling sandwich in a buttery roll. Don't miss the horchata drink, a sweet cold rice drink reminiscent of Grandma's rice pudding. The Gordita was crunchy with a burst of fresh flavor. The plantains were not disappointing. The Salvadoran tamale is a recommendation. The burria tacos, cheese pupusa and cheese & beef pupusas were fabulous. The place has a hole in the wall vibe. The pupusas came with an excellent set of accompaniments and were bursting with flavor. The beans were delicious, and the distinctive mix of textures you get when you combine a freshly grilled pupusa with the lightly fermented cabbage distinctive to the cuisine is excellent. There were some herbal notes in there, and the salsa was brightly flavored. It really is a fascinating mix of flavors distinctive to the Americas. Also a lot of food for the money. The restaurant is clean, but not a lot of atmosphere. The price was very reasonable and the portions were nice size. This wonderful, authentic “hole-in-the-wall” Salvadoran restaurant comes highly recommended for a taste of Texas in the area, making it a go-to spot for lunch and more.
