Great service that felt genuine and lovely interior with coastal vibes. Tried their duck, pork belly, and fish tacos which were all decent. The tuna poke had again flavors. The pomegranate lemon juice was very good. If you want authentic Mexican this isn't the place but still very much enjoyed the experience.

It has just opened so I got greeted right away very polite . I placed my QuesaBirria with “No Onions” and sure enough it came out with onions. It was returned and brought back in a new bowl but I saw when they removed the onions and poured into a new bowl. Placed an order ToGo with “No Onions” and again sure enough onions in my Pozole. Unfortunately I was home when I noticed . Good service, No attention to notes.

Eeeep! Recently got the birria taco and a side of gauc and chips and it was the grossest thing I’ve ever gotten from them… hard dish to mess up also 😭… gauc tasted like it was days old and just re-whipped up and like they added stuff to try and make it taste more fresh but it had a yucky old taste to it that was hard to cover up. The birirria tacos were over cooked and hard to eat // meat was so chewy… the whole meal was a flop but I’ve had good stuff from them before /// was between 3 and 4 stars cause they aren’t the worst but the aren’t they best either. Will prob go back but will never order the birria or gauc and chips ever again

If you have gluten restrictions, this restaurant is your place if you’re looking for a family atmosphere where the staff enjoys helping this is your place if you’re looking for a place that just all around has amazing food this is it! Me and my wife just moved to the Virginia area and I’ve been out to eat twice both times at this bar taco. Blanco was amazing bringing us chips and salsa to go home with and Will our waiter was so awesome and so knowledgeable about everything. We will be coming back every Friday from now on!

Service was quick and friendly. Mini tacos were very good, but the rice bowl (pork belly) was way too sweet and used too much sauce.
My first visit there was carry out! Had a really nice coupon that brought me there. Maria who I think was a manager was exceptional!!!! I work in this industry. She was informative in every way, from A to Z!!! Thank you!

Clearly this is a popular venue but I just don’t get it. Food was lower quality than Chipotle at 3 times the cost. Atmosphere? What atmosphere. Staff is nice but I was pretty disappointed and won’t be making a second visit. It’s just an expensive utterly forgettable chain.

Although the food is not authentic spanish, it was still very good! The servers are also very kind & accommodating. We moved our table from outdoor as it was too hot & they were very happy to make sure we were comfortable! Thank you :)

I wasn’t in the best mood when I placed a carryout order on a busy Saturday night. I submitted it at 6:33pm, expecting a 15-minute wait, but the confirmation email said it wouldn’t be ready until 7:08. Already a bit frustrated, I showed up around 6:45, fully expecting a long wait—and honestly, I was prepared to be annoyed about it.
But what happened next completely changed my perspective.
I was directed to the pickup line, and the staff member there (wish I had gotten her name!) politely said the order had just come through and she'd check on it. I expected a typical “it’ll be another 20-30 minutes,” but instead, she returned to say the kitchen was working on it. Less than five minutes later, my order was ready—hot, accurate, and clearly made with care.
The restaurant was packed, and yet the team moved with efficiency, kindness, and flexibility that you just don’t see often—especially in Northern Virginia. I was genuinely amazed. Bartaco earned a loyal customer. Next time, I’ll be more patient and trust the process instead of stressing over timing. What they pulled off that night was exceptional.
