Excellent service from Jordan, he was so kind and cheerful and made our experience fantastic! Salmon teriyaki was very fresh, lunch deals were good and the ramen was splendid as well. Will be back soon- glad there’s a new sushi place here, it’s what we needed!!

This place advertises a lot! But! The experience was terrible... The hostess seated me in a smelly, uncleaned spot, and the waiter who took my order was incredibly rude 😇 I had the toughest Wagyu beef sushi with tendons and the smallest Dragon roll I've ever had! The waitress only came once! After paying, she said goodbye expressionlessly 👋 She doesn't deserve any tip!

From the moment you walk in, the staff at Kusshi, are completely on point. Everyone from the hosts to the servers to the management is welcoming and professional. The atmosphere is elegant and fun, with an authentic feel that never feels overdone.
Every bite was unbelievably fresh and perfectly prepared. You can tell how much care and attention goes into every dish. The presentation, the flavors, and the overall experience were outstanding.
I cannot wait to go back. We will be regulars here for sure. Reston finally has a sushi spot that truly stands out. 🍣👏

Don’t let the nice interior fool you. We started off the meal with great appetizers, fried shrimp is great. The service was just fine felt a little rushed. Server came around every minute asking if we were ready to order. So we finally ordered and were a party of 4 so we ordered some sushi, the sushi was bland didn’t have a taste really and there is better sushi. Go save some money for better sushi at umi sushi even passion fin is better or Ariake.

A solid attempt at bridging traditional and approachable sushi with quality ingredients. Admirable that they attempted takoyaki, even more impressive that it was executed well. gooey in the middle with large chunks of tender octopus. Equally admirable to offer live uni for $40. I’ve had better fish (saba, kanpachi, medai) but I respect that they offer it and it scratches the itch.
Just two qualms. The otoro fell flat on its face for $20 (way too much tendon/fibrous and didn’t melt like butter) and the service could be more refined (not bad service, just not as elegant and discrete as you’d expect in a top tier Japanese place).

Kusshi absolutely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special.
The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared, but the real star of the evening was the seared fatty salmon appetizer. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing this dish was – it literally melted in our mouths. Pure perfection!
Our server Azula provided outstanding service throughout the night. She was attentive without being intrusive, checking in at just the right moments and ensuring we had everything we needed. The service was both fast and efficient, which we truly appreciated.
The happy hour deals are an absolute steal – incredible value for the quality you're getting. The ambiance is perfect for date night, creating just the right romantic atmosphere without being stuffy.
We had such a wonderful time and can't wait to come back. Highly recommend Kusshi to anyone looking for exceptional sushi and an all-around fantastic dining experience!

One of the newest restaurants in the Reston Town Center. Great food, and excellent friendly service. They have a bar you can sit at and have cocktails with your meal. I suggest you share the Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Dinner since it’s so large. The Shishito Peppers are very spicy, but oh so good.
