very expensive for the food they serve
Do not come if you are expecting authentic Chinese food. Ordered pepper beef, steamed rib, weird flavor. The price is also high, nearly $30 per dish. Won't come again.

Highly recommend. Our food was so flavorful and delicious. We got fried tomato and eggs, eggplant, and a chicken dish. This place is a hidden gem. Our waiter was very helpful and gave us great suggestions. Can’t wait to go there again.

If you’re looking for real Sichuan food, not American “Chinese” food, Lakeside Asia Café is the spot. Everything we ordered was amazing.
The boiled fish was perfect. Soft fish, full of flavor, floating in spicy chili oil and numbing Sichuan peppercorns. This is the real deal.
The spicy chicken was crispy, fiery, and addictive. Not too greasy, just full of heat and taste. We kept going back for more.
The pork intestines hot pot was super tasty. Clean, chewy, full of deep flavor. The broth was spicy and rich.
The pig brain hot pot sounds wild, but it was so soft and smooth. Like custard, but savory and full of umami. Try it. Trust me.
The pork belly? Melt-in-your-mouth, flavorful, just the right amount of fat. Every bite was heaven.
This is not the place for orange chicken or sweet-and-sour pork. Don’t walk in here expecting Panda Express. You’ll embarrass yourself. This is real Chengdu food. It’s bold. It’s spicy. It’s alive.
We loved every bite. We’ll be back again and again.

Very small portion for the price. Too salty. No flavor.
Nice ambience and good food.
This is the worst Chinese restaurant that I have ever tried in DMV area. Some dishes are plain while others are too salty.
Authentic homestyle chef. A couple years ago to celebrate uncle's birthday.
Good Chinese food, fun atmosphere, in Reston...

My mom’s first experience at this restaurant was not so bad so she took me and my husband to this restaurant. When we went around 7pm we were happy to see that there was only one table occupied since we were very hungry. The food came out almost after 30 minutes. Other customers that came after us were served before us. The waitress said that their food was quick and easy but ours took long because it was a slow food. I wouldn’t complain if the food was good but it was not. All the food had this bad oil taste to it. By the time we got our 4th beef noodle dish, it was almost 8pm. We had a baby with us so we couldn’t really stay any longer. I hurried to finish at least few bites and even gave my baby some of the noodles. Then I saw that the tomatoes in the dish had barcode sticker still attached to it. I didn’t want my mom to feel bad since she was the one who took us there so I did not make a big scene out of it. I just mentioned it quietly to my mom and she ended up talking to the owner. I was expecting a refund but heard that she only offered to give us another dish. Why would we want to sit there any longer to have another dish after seeing what we’ve been served? Food was horrible, waiting was long, her way to handle the situation was also horrible. I would never. Go there ever again.
there is a fly in the take out food?
It's chinese food, real chinese food. I open the menu, it's a menu I've seen in China.
I eat the food, it's the food I eat in China.
I hear the chef walk around and say "Hai yaaa". Exactly like in China.
Here you're not getting the authentic Chinese food.

Came with a large group ~15 people. There was just 1 waiter so many things were not the fastest but I would say they did an adequate job. I liked the menu a lot as almost each dish had a picture associated. Very helpful.
We ordered quite a few things to share amongst us, all or most from the Signature dishes, most of which I got to try. Everything tasted good, my favorites being the Sliced Beef and Tripe in Chili Sauce, Chongqing Spicy Chicken and Spicy Sichuan Fish Fillet. I would say in general being a Sichuan style restaurant, their spicy dishes were better than non spicy.
Keep in mind in the photos I attached, not all are depicting the full portion as I took the picture when the dish got to me. Portion size was generally pretty good.
