Had the lunch fried rice. It was okay, moderately good. But anything above that. I guess I will try the sushi/sashimi the next time I come here.

I gave this restaurant a solid four stars across the board. The food was OK, but not amazing. The service was fine. The atmosphere was acceptable. I ordered takeout and was disappointed to find that soy sauce was not included. Overall, I give this place a meh.

I was born in Tokyo. I have enjoyed sushi in restaurants worldwide. Matsutaki in Reston has the freshest and most imaginitive presentations of all the restaurants I have eaten in. Heesoo the owner is a lovely, gracious and warm hostess who greets my family and me each time we visit. Sam, the head sushi chef is an artist. I cannot say enough nice things about this restaurant. Always a wonderful experience and delicious food.. I give it a well-deserved five star rating!

We really wanted to love this place. We came 4 times. But every single time, their service got worse. The last time, I was served before my husband. 10 min later someone noticed the issue and double checked with the kitchen. They apologized but it was an issue we had seen before. Their service really needs to improve.
In the other 3 times we went, there was always something wrong. We would be sent something we didn't order. Or they wouldn't send what we requested. We always had to stop the server to complain.
After you receive your order, nobody checks in on you. Need a refill of anything? Good luck.
I really wanted to like this place. Space is clean. Atmosphere is nice. We just couldn't justify the expense when you have to keep tabs on your order. Or you are ignored that your order hasn't arrived, but your spouse has been served.

I recently went to MATSUTAKE SUSHI & SAKE BAR with my son, and we had a fantastic time! The interior is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The sushi bar looks lively and fun, adding to the overall experience.
The sushi was incredibly fresh. I asked our kind waitress to choose for me, and she picked some excellent options—I’m not sure exactly what she brought, but I ate all of it! My son ordered the udon noodles with chicken, and he really enjoyed it.
We had such a great time, and I highly recommend this local gem. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just looking for a fun dining experience, this place is worth visiting!
