Meadows Original Frozen Custard

Love this place! Great custard, staff and vibe!

Got a milkshake from here that tasted like cleaning chemicals. Other items tasted fine but clearly an issue with making sure cleaning is done thoroughly.

Apple dumpling: 2/10. The apple was good… I just wish there had been more of it.
This “apple dumpling” was basically a hollow globe of very hard stale pie crust with a single slice of apple inside. The apple itself was nicely seasoned with cinnamon and brown sugar, but the large pastry shell makes you expect a lot more filling than was actually there.
The crust was so hard the flimsy spoons they provided could barely break through it. The three scoops of custard on top were good and are the only reason this isn’t a 1/10.
For $10, very disappointing. Would not order again.

Went for the first time with the kids. It is SO good- new favorite ice cream shop. So unbelievably creamy! I had salted pretzel- delicious!!!

I’ve been to Meadows Custard four times now, and after my experience yesterday, I won’t be going back.

The first time I came, I was honestly pretty surprised by how expensive a kid’s cup was, but my son enjoyed it so I brushed it off. The custard itself is good, so I kept giving it another chance.

This last visit was the final straw. The guy behind the counter acted like we were an inconvenience for simply being there. When he handed over my son’s cup, it genuinely felt like he intentionally gave us less than usual. I said thank you and was completely ignored while he continued chatting with his coworker.

Good frozen custard can only go so far. The product itself is easily 4 stars, but the high prices and poor, dismissive customer service drag the overall experience down to 2, and that’s why I won’t be returning.

Wonderful Custard. Unbeatable for the area

This long awaited ice cream shop is finally here! Our family went yesterday for the first time. Staff was welcoming and helpful explaining the choices. Custard was smooth and rich and everything we had hoped for. Love that every day there is a new flavor of the day. Chocolate peanut butter flavor was OUTSTANDING!

Pup cups for one dollar and they’re the best ones on the market !

This is the best frozen custard in the area, far far better than Rita's, and better than almost all ice cream you will find.

So happy to have a taste of true custard from Pennsylvania here in Reston! As a PA native, I’ve been dying for this place to open! Nothing compares to this!
