I love the ambience , the fact that the restaurant is not facing a parking lot definitely makes a difference . Service is good. Menu options are not very Italian and they can certainly make some improvements . Same with the desserts menu . I don't feel the Italian flavor. Not particularly of my taste but it's a good experience overall .
Both management and service were outstanding! Very personable and fun! Both Maher and Sonja made dinning at North Italia a pleasurable event! The entire staff were wonderful!
Great meal and service - gentleman that attended us made me feel birthday special and very professional.
I have eaten here many times and will continue to do so. The food is consistently really good and the service tends to be as well. Last night our waiter was overly attentive for my tastes but otherwise did a great job. The one really big complaint I have has to do with the San Pellegrino water that you serve. First of all, serving such a large bottle for one person is really wasteful. Second, because you purchase bottles without a screw on top, the bottle cannot be sealed and taken home. I would really like to see smaller bottles and/or screw top lids.
Went there for my wife's birthday, added this to my reservation and told the host, typically restaurants will do a slice of cake, but nothing was a little disappointed. Additionally, Service was slow, although the manger did come to the table to apologize. I ordered the branzino it was warm, dry and greasy, calamari was good, everyone else seemed to be fine with their meal.
The service, atmosphere, and food were all excellent at North Italia. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, gave excellent recommendations, accommodated our special requests, and was very attentive during our evening.
There is a reason why North Italia in Reston is always packed. Good food, good service, fun ambience. The food is always solid, and generous American sized portions. The eggplant parm (starter)is a rockstar. Wine program is pretty solid - with good options - a glass, a carafe / half or full bottle. Service takes a while as the place is typically packed, so that's understandable. Will continue to patronize :)
We enjoyed a wonderful three course meal with a bottle of champagne on New Years Eve. The service, food and ambience were all great!
Place is nice. Atmosphere is pretty, except it’s very loud. Service is pretty good. Maybe not enough staff.
Here is where I have a problem. I understand restaurants have started charging for bread.this is an italian restaurant. I ordered some bread. Three cut pieces of bread come. Grilled. Tasted good. Also ordered chicken parm. It comes and looks like they forgot to put sauce on. I ask for some marinara and the waiter tells me there is a small up charge. I think really ?? But fine. I mean how much could a little thing cost.
Check comes. Bread $10. Seriously?? Marinara $3.50. Come on!
The chicken parm is already overpriced. And now it has cost almost $30 dollars.
This is not a high end place.
Your cooks should put enough sauce on a piece of chicken without the customer having to pay extra.
It’s a Shame. And I would have tried talking to a manager but it was so busy I didn’t want to have to stay any longer. Maybe they will see this !

This place is nice, the food is decent and service was just okay. The one thing that was heartbreaking for me was that they charge cocktail prices for their mocktails! A mocktail is juice, soda water, and maybe a slice of fruit in a fancy glass. This is why people are eating/drinking at home these days, I could’ve made my mocktail for less than $2 a serving at home. It wasn’t even that good, and there is no mocktail on their menu with any ingredient that warrants $14! These places will do themselves in.

The food was very good, the service a bit slow, (it was packed) and the noise level was poor. Our server was so kind, but clearly juggling many tables. It took a long while for her to circle back around to us. The appetizers were delicious. Two of our four main courses were lukewarm and had to be reheated. We ordered bread and it was disappointing; dry, bland, they could do better. We asked for olive oil and grated cheese which helped. The desserts were very good. The wines are reasonably priced. We are loyal customers and would love for the noise level to be addressed.
Food was great!...but the service was so lacking it was frustrating. I had a problem with my food. Had to hunt down the server...by the time my dish was corrected everyone one else in my party was finished eating.

Came here tonight with my husband. We both ordered salads. i got the simple salad and he ordered the ceaser salad with salmon. his salmon was undercooked and mine had too much dressing. Our waitress asked if we wanted dessert and we replied “we are good” and she came back with menus after we pretty much said no. $30 for his salad when the salmon was undercooked is expensive. Not to mention as an italian restraunt you have to pay $10 for bread and olive oil…. That should already be something ur given to begin with.

Noise level was beyond energetic, but rather too loud and difficult to have a conversation with older members of our party.
My fav meal to get is the bolognese
