There is a very bad manager. He is rude to customers. When I went the other day, he acted angry as if he was the owner of the place. If I had been a little tougher, we could have even fought. Customer satisfaction is zero. Food comes extremely late and cold. The employees are unskilled. Urgent precautions must be taken by the restaurant management. Next time, no one will be as patient as mine. In addition, not only customers but also people who come for delivery orders are treated with the same rudeness and people are kept waiting excessively.

I like the food and prices here, and especially when they have their Tuesday Tacos special. We had a little misunderstanding about what was included in the special, but it was straightened out once we questioned the bill. That's the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5.

Staff was friendly and attentive. I sat at the bar and the margarita machine sounded like my mom's old washing machine, clunking and banging away nonstop. I got the ranchiladas. Cheese enchiladas were tasty, but the steak was dry and warm, the whole plate was warm, not hot like fresh off the grill, more like out of a warming bin. The chips and salsa we very tasty. Overall, "Meh" was hoping for so much better. But,the staff was very good!

The service was excellent and extremely friendly, so there were no issues whatsoever there. But the food itself was just "meh" and definitely had a more Americanized chain restaurant taste to it (which it is). Definitely not the fresh Tex-Mex type of food and consistency that I was hoping for. But I'm also from San Antonio, so I'm a lot pickier when it comes to this type of food than most.

Love the Chimichangas. Been getting those since the 90's. The food is always good and the bartenders are excellent.Parking: Parking is always easy, plenty of spaces.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly & accommodating for kids with high chairs etc. from what I remember.Wheelchair accessibility: More than enough room to get wheelchairs around the dining room.

Service has always been spotty, but last night we tried again. We were seated in . . . I'll call her short-curly-hair, because we never learned her name. She kept looking at us while waiting on four other tables (all of them had their food). Finally, we asked for water. She said she would be right with us, but continued to ignore us. I went to the bar for our drinks, when I returned, still no service. No manager either. After a half hour, when most would have left, I went to the hostess and asked for a different table in a new section. Instead she sent a different waitress to our table. We were there for more than half an hour without so much as a glass of water. Our new waitress, Zoad, tried to make up for damage done, and it was a valiant effort, but when you have to go to the bar to get your own drinks that is going to effect the tip at the bottom line. Short-curly-hair never came by to apologize. Zoad told us the manager was working in the kitchen because they're short-staffed there as well. My guess is that she was hiding because she knows there's a dining room full of unhappy customers. This is a top-down problem, and On the Border needs to figure it out, but we are no longer its victim.
