In Latin America, coffee farms are often run by families, with their own homes on the same land where their coffee grows. We've sipped coffee with these farmers for decades, sitting on their verandas, overlooking the lush beauty of the coffee trees rolling out in the distance. Most times it was a lightly roasted coffee like this one. It took us more than 80 tries to get it right-mellow and flavorful with a nice softness.

As soon as I walked in, I received a generic greeting, but I was okay with it. Usually the baristas are way too busy to even greet customers as they walk in. Came here for a coffee early in the morning last week while staying in Reston. Ordered a tall dark roast. Should be simple enough but not so. I didn't leave the customary 18% tip when paying. and the server wouldn't give me my coffee. She went ahead and served everyone else in the line and only when the store was empty would she give my dark roast.

My partner and I stopped by this morning for two drinks. We received such lovely and personalized service at the counter from a young blonde woman and noticed that the other employees seemed to be having a great time together. The energy was so nice inside of this Starbucks! I’m glad to see it.
