Simon Restaurant was fantastic — amazing food and truly five-star service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole evening perfect. Highly recommend!

It was a Saturday and we didn't have reservations so we ate at the bar. Food very good to excellent. Service was terrible to very good, depending on individual.

Hamza is friendly, informative, and appears to take pride in his job and working at the Simon.
Chaim is standoffish, and may be one of the worst bartenders I've ever encountered. Here's a couple examples of why: Customer next to us asks where the fries are with his sliders. Chaim emphatically tells him fries don't come with sliders and walks off. We tell the customer he is correct, the menu says sliders come with fries. Another customer tells Chaim that his drink is flat. Chaim takes a straw, syphoned out some of the drink, and tasted it...ewe. Apparently he didn't believe the customer and wanted to show his disbelief to everyone.

We heard apologies multiple times from multiple servers that the menu had changed and they were unaware of what was currently stated in the menu. That's completely unacceptable from any level of restaurant, especially one trying to be of a high dining.

Our appetizers were brought out, but we had to ask for napkins and silverware. Then our main course was brought out, and again, no napkins or silverware.

As we were leaving the hostess asked how was our evening. We said the food was excellent but the service was hit or miss. We explained our interactions and observations with Chaim, and the hostess said sometimes you just don't vibe with a bartender. I said this had nothing to do with a vibe. She topped the night off, formulating our decision to not come back.

My wife loved the truffle popcorn and the tomato soup. The burger and the chocolate cake were fantastic. Other food was ok. The drinks were to an expected level.

It's new and the staff are struggling, which I believe is due to poor management, given what we encountered..

A friend and I just had the best breakfast in recent memory. As two former bartenders and servers who have worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade +, Jeannie is easily one of the best servers we have come across. If you’re in the area, treat yourself to fantastic experience. All starts.

What a wonderful way to turn my day around. The food was exquisite. But the best part of our visit was our server Jeannie! So personable and attentive. There wasn’t a second about this meal that was bad. Will definitely be back. And asking for Jeannie!

I'm a Reston local and The Simon is my new go-to spot when friends or family are visiting and we need a spot for breakfast. Most recently when I went, the food and the service were both incredible. Our server, Cristian, was both friendly and professional -- helping us make the crucial decisions required to narrow down the exquisite menu! Thanks to both Cristian and The Simon for the warm welcome!

We had an amazing 10/10 meal at Simon. The Pennsylvania Golden Chicken was absolutely delicious and so well presented taking a bite came first, photos second hence the partially devoured plate. Sky was fantastic which made are late dinner feel seamless. We were seated at the comfy corner booths in the huge beautiful bar that was packed but still spacious enough to not be intrusive for dinner. A nice personal touch in a full restaurant on Friday night was meeting managers Sunny and Kris which just came across as warm and welcoming. I apologize but I do not remember the name of the desert we got but to say it was the cherry on our cake, just doesn't give it justice. Well Done!

We had the most amazing dinner at The Simon, all the dishes were perfectly balanced. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is amazing. The open kitchen really made the experience 10/10, seeing the harmony in the kitchen was the cherry on top. Having chef Tony stop by the table was the loviest experience. Lastly, you must try the dessert everything is made in house from scratch and it shows.

If you dine at Simon at Reston, be sure to ask for Lisandro! His warm personality and attentive service made our meal truly special. He offered great recommendations, and his enthusiasm for the dishes was contagious. We enjoyed a delightful selection, from the flavorful appetizers to the exquisite main courses that were beautifully presented. Lisandro checked in at the perfect moments, making us feel valued while allowing us to savor each bite. His passion for his work shines through, and he definitely elevated our dining experience. Highly recommend him!

My friend and I tried this restaurant as we had heard so much about it. It did not disappoint! The staff was attentive and professional and made us comfortable as soon as we arrived. We arrived early and tried some drinks in the bar and they were amazing. Very unique flavors and delicious.

Our dinner was top notch, perfectly cooked filet, the crab salad was so special and the deserts were to die for. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

And don’t forget to check out the swanky decor and the special touches throughout from the restroom floor to the really special smelling soap, and the beautiful dishes. Very nicely done.

Thank you Tim, Armando, Sunny and Emily for your special attention and the tour.

Needs a lot of work.

We grabbed a seat at the bar before dinner on a Friday night. Way too much time went by before someone took our order, and the bartender didn't seem overly thrilled to have us. The eventual cocktail offerings were uninspired and incorrectly built. One of our bar neighbors was handed what I assume was supposed to be some kind of smoked offering which basically had a still-glowing sprig of some botanical just shoved unceremoniously into the glass as a garnish, which was amusing.

Bread service is absolutely not worth the $10 they are charging for it, it should either be provided complimentary or be made more interesting to justify its place on the menu.

Steak tartare has to be the weirdest presentation of the dish I have ever seen. It resembled something that looked and smelled like a finely chopped Big Mac, and for some reason it is piled up on a narrow bone which itself is, for seemingly no good reason, placed on top of two piles of salt, rendering anything that topples off the skeletal perch completely inedible. Very odd choice.

The steak for the Steak Frites was tough as old boots. I expect a little chew with a Hanger steak, but this was a bit much. The Bordelaise sauce was very good, and for some reason they seemed to bring an imperial pint sized portion, which led at one point to me just eating an otherwise bland watercress salad with Bordelaise dressing, which was fun. My dining companion had the pasta with caviar and enjoyed it.

Service was fine, although he was somewhat drowned out by the blaring of the mediocre meander-jazz trio in the bar area.

The brunch menu looks interesting, I could be persuaded to give them another shot, but also just as likely not.

Great Corned Beef and Pastrami. Sauerkraut Balls were excellent I never had them. Prices were ok. Also has great Matzo ball soup. Definitely recommended!
