First off, I was missing two items out of my order; an order of Mac and cheese and an order of greens, but it didn't really matter cuz that shit was trash. When I say the food was under seasoned, it was UNDER SEASONED. We had the fish, bland af. The greens, bland. The Mac and cheese...do I need to say it..bland. And it wasn't even on some add some salt, it was truly no flavor. The shrimp, no flavor. Just a hint for spicy and from what I can taste, cayenne. The yams...why is there so much nutmeg in it? It simply overpowers the dish and it taste like it was done with regular white sugar and not brown sugar. The best tasting item that we received were the turkey wings and those were lacking salt. Adding a bit of salt did make the taste better but that doesn't take away from the fact the damn near $90 buck was spent for food that was sub-par at best. I recommend trying a different restaurant if you want soul food, cuz this place ain't it.

The food was great, the service and the staff very friendly and attentive.. very comfortable and spacious and I came in a Wednesday evening for their Karaoke night, had so much fun. It's a must for me to comeback when I'm in town, coming from Harlem NY.

To go order: ordered 2 2pc fish dinners. Food good as always. ONLY issue, I was charged gratuity on a pickup order. This has NEVER happened before. Granted, this guy was new, not okay to charge me gratuity. Its not like he offered to bring it out to my vehicle.Not happy...

The owner told us to stop by her spot so we did. First they said we had to be 25+ (we were not), then let us sit down cause we just wanted food. The food was okay nothing too special. There was extremely loud music because they were line dancing, to the point where I had to come and sit on the side of the table with my boyfriend and yell for him to barely hear me. So unless you are partaking in the activities I don't recommend coming. Our server never checked on us unless they were bringing us food and took forever to do the smallest thing. On top of that, I'm a server, myself, so I tip pretty good, but they already included a 20% gratuity when the service was not nearly good enough for $14. I was also told I could get a side INSTEAD of fries for one item and was charged for it and given the fries also. Everything came in a Togo box even though we were dining in. The drinks were in very small plastic cups. As far as food, it wasn't anything special. The tenders were fried really hard. The cheesesteak and crab cake was pretty good, but the fish I received was kinda soggy. The max and cheese wasn't good at all in my opinion, but I enjoyed the yams. The ribs weren't too bad either.
