I had a pleasant experience at Afghan Cuisine. The food was flavorful and clearly made with care, especially the rice and meat dishes, which were well-seasoned and satisfying. Portions were generous, and the prices felt reasonable for the quality and authenticity of the food.
The atmosphere is simple and casual, more focused on the food than the décor, which works well for a relaxed meal. Service was fine, though it could be a bit quicker during busy times.
Overall, it’s a solid spot for authentic Afghan food in Richmond. With a bit more attention to ambiance and service speed, it could easily be a 5-star experience. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking to try Afghan cuisine.

I had the dolma and beef kabob with chickpeas. The dolma was warm and sticky, perfect. The beef kabob and chickpeas were also both great. I don't usually eat beef but wanted to try it here. It is an order at register and sit at table place. I definitely recommend this place.

Recently got take out (the chicken kabob platter) and it was a solid 100/10. Chicken tasted amazing and for the price you get so much food. On top of that, the employee asked if I was a VCU student and gave me 10% off! Best kabob place in Richmond!!!!

Small portion for lunch platter. I left still feeling hungry
Called in a pick up order & was told 20 mins- actually ended up being 50 mins. It wasn’t crowded but busy enough to be an obviously delicious spot- halal meat is an ala send 🙌🏽
You can smell the scrumptiousness from a few blocks away, follow your nose and you won’t be disappointed. Just don’t trust the to go order pick up times, give them a lil extra, a lil patience, they’re doing a great job!
