The curry chicken was awesome. I'm from Guyana. So when I went there for lunch, I wasn't thinking that the chicken was going to taste so good, but it tastes better than what my mom would make it. fourth thumbs up.

Being from fredericksburg I am always on the lookout for good egusi and this place did NOT disappoint. The food was delicious and I could tell just by the smell it was going to be good.

There’s no other way to describe this food other than “Comfort Food”. It truly felt like I went into their home, walked into their kitchen and served myself a home cooked meal. The food is very well seasoned. I had the Egusi Soup and made a plate from the buffet. I have no complaints with any of the food!! The Mac and cheese was creamy and buttery, mixed greens was so tender and perfectly seasoned. The stew chicken wow so good!!! It was very hearty and seasoned very well. I will be treating myself often to this restaurant.

If I can give it a zero I will. This is far the worse African restaurant you can think about. Got $30 worth of food. The soup was cold and the chicken in the Egusi was as small as a phone SIM card. And they knew what they did. Because they both were looking at themselves acting suspicious

My first time trying African food was ok for the most part. I ordered two oxtails with fufu, white rice, and two drinks. My total came to $69.00 and I’m still confused as to how. The oxtail were very different from what I’m use to. It had more of a tomato flavor overall, and also it was as cooked with cabbage. The bowl had a decent portion size but very small oxtails so mostly cabbage. Now this was my first time eating fufu it was very sticky. Also, It has no flavor but maybe people use it to soak up gravy of some sort. Lastly I ordered two drink which were $4 each. Now I was hoping the strawberry lemonade was made fresh but it wholeheartedly tasted like Kool Aid, so I was very disappointed with that. I think this experience will be my last.

Man do I love this place. Anything a black person could want to eat it’s here. Whether you from the Caribbean, America or the motherland itself, All Africans of different nationalities and cultures can find something here that you will enjoy. Only thing I would like is if it was a few more West African cuisine options.

Just so that you know, this is NOT a buffet. Labelling this place as a buffet is pretty deceptive. Because, you will pay as per the weight, even for dine-in. Food was ok. Not a great place to dine-in.

I had the pleasure of meeting the chef, and staff last night literally at closing time. My first time eating there, of course I did it as take out. Astonishing the food was still very hot, and was at the point of being taken off the bar to close. The ladies last night were very accommodating to me, and even made sure I had some delicious fufu and chicken egusi (I may have spelled that incorrect). Thank you so much everything was delicious, hot and it all was eaten before bedtime ! What a experience. I will definitely be back to to dine again, next time I'll have better timing that way I can exp the full experience. Thank you very much !! I'd give 5 stars

When I mean to tell you it felt like home here and don't get me started in the food. 10/10. I've been looking for some real African food and I tried this place today. I bought the seafood gumbo which came with fufu. when I received the bag I was skeptical because how small it was but trust it was enough. customer service was amazing and tbh I might go back for seconds in the next hour.

Called in for an vegan egusi soup and they didn’t have any. I asked for other options which I chose fish. I ended up changing my mind because it wasn’t what I really wanted. The lady hung up in my face. I frequent this business often and the food isn’t cheap. A little patience and respect goes a long way.
