I was a regular fan when Alamo was a takeout place. Now that they’ve moved upscale, they’ve gone downhill. The bar and food prep area was dirty and untidy. Dude making food! Have you ever heard of a hairnet?!? Bartender was brusque and unfriendly, like I was in her way. There are plenty of other good barbecue places in town, so sorry to say…Adios Alamos.

Special place! Delicious BBQ. Easy going nice place to chill. Whiskey bar and giant Alaskan bear included. The guy that owns the place is solid. Highly recommend.

It’s just about THE MEAT!
You’ve passed it a hundred times.
A few tables, walk up joint.
Absolutely fantastic. And consistent.

we ordered takeout. Texas train wreck and the half rack of ribs. the ribs were okay but just barely. the train wreck included Mac and cheese which was fairly bland. the most offensive issue was that very clearly, in both dishes, the worst cuts of meat were hidden on the bottom of the container (2 tough incredibly dry ribs), or the small qty of meat was attempted to be covered up by large pieces of cornbread (very little brisket for the price of 20 dollars).

it could have been worse but for a place that specializes in bbq it wasn't good and the sneakiness of the plating means we will not be ordering from them again.

I was disappointed. Ordered the Texas Philly with brisket. The roll and the cheese sauce were awful. The sides (rice and beans and coleslaw) were just okay. The corn bread was so heavy. Overall, I did not like the food and will not back.

I used to rave about the portobello burger, but am revising my review today. I ordered a portobello burger and a pulled pork sandwich. The service was slow, my portobello burger did not have a portobello in it, but a few thin slices of mushrooms. I was not made aware of that when I ordered. Alltogether, both burgers have shrunk significantly since my last visit. Make sure you get what you pay for.

My brisket sandwich was very disappointing. Almost all fat, no flavor. Would not recommend. The cowboy beans were really good, as was the trainwreck burrito. There's better BBQ elsewhere around town, but if you want a burrito stuffed with all the BBQ fixins and meat, go here.

Check your order before picking up. Don't leave before everything is accounted for. Missing 3 items from our order, and they only replaced 2.

The presentation was so good, I thought I was a judge and a barbecue contest. The taste equal the presentation. I had brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was excellent. The pork was the most tender pork I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Alamo!
