Was and could have been a five star until they became dishonest. Not sure if I’ll give them repeat business or recommend to others due to bait and switch. I want to support local and small businesses but I do not appreciate dishonesty. Ordered osso buco and price is clearly stated on menu. When we received the bill, price was an additional 1/3 more. When we questioned the price difference, we were told that we received a bigger serving and it is based on market price. Never asked for a bigger portion and menu should just say MP, and do not give an excuse afterwards. We still paid what was over charged without an apology or reversal of their fee.

Visiting from South Carolina with friends from Massachusetts. Wonderful experience with excellent service by Michelle and delicious authentic food. Owners personally involved with patrons obviously care a great deal and have a great deal of pride in their restaurant, having been there for 40 years. This is a hidden gem in a shopping plaza that could easily be overlooked but so happy we found it.

Very disappointed. Came for the in-laws’ birthday dinner but left super upset and hungry. Although the portions are huge, not sure the service and food is worth returning. I ordered the filet mignon medium, but it came beyond well done. I was only able to eat two bites. Almost all the entrees were over salty. The host seemed to have some sort of attitude with our party. Not sure if it was because we had a large party. She was passive about how much space we took up because we had high chairs and the normal seats were placed on the side, but it is not our fault that the restaurant is overly small and cramped but stuffed with tables. Not happy and will gladly not return.

This place has the best marinara sauce you’ll ever have. And the best calamari (that comes with the marinara sauce). I tried to make the marinara sauce at home, without success. I also asked for the recipe, but they won’t give it. I guess we’ll have to keep coming back ;). We also love the staff. We’ve been coming here for a few years now and we always see the same waitresses. That says a lot about a restaurant.

This is my most favorite place for Italian food in Richmond Virginia. It is quintessential, the food is always good I love the atmosphere, it's very cozy. You get a lot of food for the money and they have the biggest Martini Richmond.. I call it our Lady and the Tramp spot.

Always loved the food. Especially the grilled salmon w/Lemon Butter Sauce on a bed of 'wilted' spinach. Tonight? Not so much. Salmon was black & crunchy, unlike the grilled that I ordered. It was a pc only about 1 & 1/2 wide and just as thick. Not only was the spinach not wilted, it was raw, the leaves were huge & bitter tasting, and had huge stems. I pushed it down into the sauce to wilt it myself. I was unsuccessful because the lemon butter sauce was luke warm at best. I returned it to the kitchen even after the waitress tried to convince me that the dish was always prepared like that. Well, not when we used to dine there. A house salad was included and my husband and I had shared that. The balsamic vin was the consistency of mayonaise & super tangy. My husband's spaghetti noodles were so thick I could take only one bite when he offered to share it with me. It grossed me out. Thick, al dente noodles. ? We got our check and upon review, there was a $7.95 'open box' charge. While I would normally raise hell and refuse to pay it, I bit the bullet and paid the bill. Basically, I paid $7.95 for a 'house salad.' Its ok though. I'm providing this review and, we won't ever dine there again.
