Best Mexican food in Richmond. The Tierra y Mar is my favorite thing to get. The food is always amazing, never disappoints. They also have a great selection of alcohol and margaritas. The service is always super fast and efficient and all the staff is extremely polite. They also have white dip which is 10/10

Food was AMAZING! Cheap food too with incredible quality. Ordered takeout and the food was still really good. Definitely recommend the side chicken quesadilla (only $3.25) and the pollo asado! Great food can't emphasize it enough!

Friendly staff, chill vibe (I went on a Monday event and a lot of people were there), and the food was delicious. We got a veggie bowl and Yolanda's.

I met a friend here for lunch. We were seated quickly and served quickly as well. The parking is behind the restaurant but seemed ample for lunch. We sat at the front so I didn't get a look at most of the restaurant. I ordered the California Burrito. It was tasty but I was surprised that it was just the burrito and no sides.

I enjoyed the food and the service was quick and friendly. The prices seemed like a good value. They have a kids menu with cheeseburgers and chicken fingers for those little ones who don't like Mexican.

I was craving Mexican and this was the closest business to where I was, at the time. I decided to give them a try. I ordered the Arroz con Pollo and it came to $16.17. I was already taken aback because the price was different than on the website! I ordered and the wait was around 15-20 minutes. Here comes the problem: I order this dish all the time from different Mexican spots and although they vary flavor wise etc, it is usually good. However, the biggest flaw with this place was the portion! It was a kids meal tbh. The chicken was on one side and not on top of the rice. There was barely any queso on top. And they took up most of the togo plate with quac, lettuce, sour cream, and tomato. The chicken was fresh, but the flavor was not there. The rice had a decent flavor but it was too soft, almost soggy. I was beyond disappointed in the portion size for $16.17. I could have ordered several things for that price. I will not order from this establishment again, but it could be the dish I chose. So if you go, don't waste your time with the arroz con pollo because it will disappoint if you are use to other places.

The food was once good but now nothing authentic about it. The portions are smaller now too. I won’t be returning.

This is the go-to spot for Mexican food that members of my family enjoy. I'll be honest here, it is the first spot I have found that makes their taquitos properly (with corn tortillas), so right away I was pleasantly surprised. We started with margaritas, and those did not disappoint. Apparently, they come in different sizes, but I stuck with the small one. The salsa rocks (just a hint of heat), and the queso dip is super yummy. My sister and I split the taquito plate (4 chicken taquitos, guac & sour cream, and rice). The taquitos were stuffed full with white meat chicken - so good. The rice was moist and flavorful. On a second trip here I got the 2 taco combo plate. Tacos were just OK, but I still mowed through them. The service here is terrific, and the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this spot for some yummy, belly-filling food.

Amigos Family Restaurant has become my nursing group's go to spot when we want to meet up. The staff is always friendly and lightening fast. The chips and salsa are delicious and the margaritas are just so tasty you'll want them to be never-ending.As a group, we ordered the guacamole which was underwhelming with its portion size as was the chori dip. We had to order 3 portion sizes to feed our group of 5.As for the entrees, I ordered the chori-pollo and shrimp and my plate was a heavy portion of delicious goodness. I could not complain about one thing on my plate. I ordered a steak quesadilla to-go to bring home to my husband. When I we got home, the quesadilla was more like a sad steak taco with no cheese or other accoutrements which was very disappointing. Luckily, I had a ton of leftovers from my chori-pollo and shrimp dinner to share with him.Overall, I love Amigos Family Restaurant - there was just a couple of disappointing moments.
