We love Barrio Taqueria! We stopped in tonight for a bite and drinks before a show at The Altria Theater. It was delightfully busy for a Tuesday late afternoon/ early evening. The service was fantastic, the drinks were perfect, the food was SOOOO tasty, and the atmosphere is what we LOVE about Richmond eateries - unique, fun, slightly industrial and vintage inspired! We highly recommend the nachos with carnitas, the baja tacos, the taco fries, and the carnitas quesadilla. Great happy hour deals!

Food was good - chicken quesadilla with a nice lime flavor that was always present but never overpowering. Spicy margarita was good, but could be spicier. Hip atmosphere. Looking forward to checking out the more clubby upstairs on a weekend.Behind the bar, Carmine's good nature and friendliness made for a unique and welcoming experience. The place has really improved since I last visited a couple years ago.

The food was absolutely great! Highly recommend the burrito bowl. Drinks were delicious but to top it all off the service was amazing!! Sat at the bar for only a short amount of time and Carmine was able to keep a smile on my face through out the entire experience. Lovely and personable. Will absolutely be visiting more frequently. Glad to see the new ownership building back up a great spot in Richmond.Highly recommend this place
