Let me be clear, this restaurant is not for everyone. I am a native of Richmond and coming "home" does not always feel like home. But this restaurant felt like for a few hours nothing else mattered. Like Auntie was in the kitchen making my plate special and I laughed and talked over glassES of wine. It felt like a sanctuary away from all of the fast paced franchises and finally some real cooking made with love. It felt like a staff that cared about your life and investment...
Omg my first time going too this place and I'm in love!!..friendly staff..great food..enjoyable entertainment..I couldnt have picked a better place too celebrate my birthday..thanks for an EXCEPTIONAL experience..will definitely be returning!!
We had a wonderful evening dining at Bateau. The red snapper was outstanding. It was served on a bed of jasmine rice with a side of roasted, vegetables accented by the honey glaze on the fish and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere along the canal was an added treat to our outdoor dining experience. The owner was a wonderful host and the service was personal and professional. This is by far our favorite restaurant for dinner in Richmond. We look forward to our next dining...
