Roasted oyster with tomato butter. Yeah, these are good. Don’t forget the Chablis.

I'll be real. This place is hit or miss. The first time was marred at shift change, I tried it again and the only thing that stood out was how miserable the manager was. She was so unpleasant I swore off coming back.

Went twice in one weekend, if you’re an oyster fanatic look no further - this is the place to hit up! Service was phenomenal, as were drinks. Already thinking about my next trip here!

Came seeking dinner with family a few weeks ago, and we were struck by the noise level before we even sat down. Could not hear my sisters across the table without shouting. The staff seemed irritated when we decided to leave after just some oysters and soda, but we weren't going to sit through a whole dinner unable to enjoy a conversation. I know management may be looking to preserve the stamped metal ceiling, but sound dampening panels need to be installed -somewhere-.

Came in before a show at the Camel. Service was wonderful. Amongst myself and company we tried the oysters, fish chowder, chicken wings, trout de florentine (sp?), and three of the cocktails which I forget the names of but they were delicious. Lovely experience and bartenders were especially hospitable (we sat at the bar).
Def plan to return. Oysters were great. Very few places in town have actual choices in selection.
Parking: Not sure about designated parking. Found some street parking within a block or so.

Easily one of my favorite meals in Richmond. Delicious oysters and other food, amazing beer, great service. Everyone is so friendly and polite that it’s refreshing to talk about food. I saw some of the waitstaff talk to some ornery older gentlemen the other night - they could’ve easily told them to pound sand. They didn’t! They’re professional and calm always, and who could dislike a place like that. They have a customer for life in me.

I want to give it 1 star so I don’t have to wait there!
But it’s really an awesome place. Great vibes and good times. Everyone is close, loud, and cozy! Probably not for everyone, but it’s unique and has is really enjoyable for my friends and family.
The oysters seem super super fresh every time I’ve gone. I think the wine and some of the other food can get pricey so I stick to a cocktail or happy hour beer and food.
The staff have always been chill. No reservations, but they always will try and slide things or make it work. Friendly and all working together.
10/5 stars to be honest.
