I had my birthday dinner here & everything exceeded my expectations. Thank you for serving me and my crazy group lol. We had so much fun with each other. The service was the best I’ve ever had for a big group. I eat here normally as well. Highly recommend!

Most of the food was good but the chicken was so overcooked, no amount of chewing would make it edible.

Not good. PF Chang is better, which tells you a lot.

I've driven by this place so many times and kept wanting to try it. I'd eaten at one of the sister restaurants and liked it. Finally got there and was unfortunately disappointed. Food was mediocre--the wonton soup I didn't even eat half of, it was that bad (same with my friend). Ditto my entree (their version of Gen Tso's chicken)--overcooked, hard, chewy chicken, cloyingly sweet sauce . The dumplings were pretty good. Service was good. Atmosphere was nothing impressive and chairs were pretty uncomfortable.

Had great food and service tonight. Green beans are the bomb dot com. Our server (sophie) was very accommodating and kind.

Excellent food, excellent service. More open space less intimate. Plays pop music not oriental or elevator music.

the food was ABSOLUTELY amazing. I came here for lunch today with my boss who highly recommended it and he knows I’m a big foodie. I ordered the basil chicken which is kind of like a chicken and vegetable style meal BUT SO MUCH BETTER as it is fine on a higher scale of elegance. of course after dinning we decided to continue working and lost the receipt. I called up to the restaurant and Bill the manager was very helpful in not only finding the receipt for us but being able to email the receipt to us so I won’t have to stop by tomorrow to pick it up. Thanks a BILLion ☺️can’t wait to come back. oh by the way the dumplings and the hot and sour soup Chefs kiss.

My first time visiting the restaurant and I greatly enjoyed my meal. I was accompanied by 2 other individuals who previously had ordered take-out food from Beijing but had not dined within the restaurant. The 2 appetizers and 3 meals were delicious and tasty and the service provided by the server, Ms. Kelly, was 5 stars. On a Sunday evening at 6 pm the place was packed with patrons and some even waiting to be seated. If I have the opportunity again, I will visit Beijing on Grove and I highly recommend the restaurant.

We just enjoyed our first-ever trip here after living in Richmond for 7 yrs🤦🏻‍♂️. What a wonderful meal! Wonton and Hot&Sour soups, delicious. Green bean appetizer were perfect flavor and snap. The crispy chicken wing appetizer with the cilantro-jalapeño and chili pepper toppings still have me sniffling. I enjoyed the Numb-numb steak with side of jalapeño fried rice, but we also had Lo-Mein and Crispyhoney pepper meal. Service was stellar with Charlotte serving and on point.

Met a friend who frequents here and was not disappointed. The green beans are absolutely the very best beans on the planet!! And the crab Rangoon was also top notch. However, when we got to the main, the beef was a bit too fatty for me unfortunately, hence the 4 stars. The flavor was amaaaaazing though!! I think it was brocoli beef and we added mushrooms. It was truly delish but the meat was just not the best cut. My friend told me that was def unusual though so I’ll be back.

I also LOVE when a GM or whomever comes around and makes themself visible. Of course, I didn’t say a word to them when he did ask…but maybe I should have come to think of it…I guess why they come check on everyone huh….🤔

Overall, really more like 4.5 stars, but I’ll be back and update.

My parents and I dined here this past Sunday (6/8/25). We had been looking for new Chinese places to try and found this online. The atmosphere and decor were lovely. Our server (I didn’t catch her name, she said it too fast - the tall, slim one with the lisp) was attentive to our table and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the Crispy Tempura Eggplant, Fat Dragon Lo Mein with BBQ Pork, and Crispy Honey Pepper Chicken. We enjoyed all 3, though the Lo Mein was a bit salty, but not overbearingly so. We had a pleasant experience and recommend this place 10/10.

Walked in at 8:15 to eat and was told they were closed and stopped servicing food. Online and door says they close at 9. I guess they have seating for 45 more mins.
