Wednesday 4/17/24 6:20pm Tonight I had a taste for some barbecue ribs, and I was on the southside so I yelped the closest rib place near me and found Big Daddy's. It's a tiny little restaurant, a mom and Pop spot. This is not an eat in restaurant but I noticed a picnic table on the side. I waited in the drive-through for about eight minutes. The sign says honk when you're ready to order but nobody never responded so I pulled up. once I was at the window, I waited a few more minutes and then honked again. A lady came and told me she would be with me in a few minutes. Another five or 10 minutes went by and she came in took my order. I ordered a half a rack of barbecued ribs, some green beans and some hush puppies.. The wait was horrible. Food is really good. So I tell you about the wait so that if you go just prepare yourself and everything will be great. Check them out!

I give this place a zero I wouldn’t feed a dog. I knocked on the window to add to my orders, and the wife hollered, and when I asked her husband. And I ask the husband what was wrong with her ? His reply was.maybe she nervous. I just walked away and will deal with the bank to reverse my charges. The food is not fresh they microwave the food and coleslaw is but from other vendors. Don’t waste your money. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I wanted to try this tonight, but it seemed rude to “honk for service” so I drove away. Also all prices are covered up so you have to ask for prices as well.

Absolutely delicious! The kind lady working took our custom catering order for a work event a week in advance, and she even came in early so we could pick it up. We got the family pack and extra chicken and beef. There were compliments on the food all around. Highly recommend!!

Just finished eatin my pulled pork sandwich, apple cobbler w/ vanilla ice cream and fried. Food coma setting in. Service was great, food was even better so be patient, this isnt fast food. 5 stars for sure!

AMAZING FOOD AND GREAT PRICES!! my great grandmother and I were regulars here when I was growing up and i recently moved back to RVA and was excited to see that they were still open and had the same lady i remembered from my childhood. 100% recommend trying this place out.Just be patient, when you pull up so the service is a bit"slow" but it's completely understandable when you take into consideration that it's usually a one person show and they make the food fresh.

Great bbq pork sandwiches with coleslaw. I always get a large when in town. Don't forget to get a order of their golden fried French fries. They also have cold ice tea to wash it all down.
