2.5 stars. We went for the Christmas pop up, and the drinks and atmosphere were great. The music was good, and it was definitely festive. The food was horrid, I'm sorry to say. The beef short ribs were flavorless and seemed more like pot roast with a strange smell to them. My friend ordered crab dip, and it came in a small ramekin that you'd serve condiments in... the dip was also served with a mixture of regular club, Towne, and Ritz crackers which was pretty odd. Service was decent. Overall not a great experience but not horrible either.

Have always wanted to go to Birdie’s for the holiday pop-up and finally made it happen! No wait and we had Ash as a server - 10/10 recommend. Ash was excellent! Super attentive and knew the menu well!! We just got cocktails, but all were fantastic. Will certainly be back.

Rude staff. Not family friendly for a holiday outing. Not welcoming during walk-in hours, had tables reserved and refused to offer take out, but I asked if we could at least do take-out. Expensive hot cocoa tastes like Swiss miss. Will not return. Lost out on a good chunk of money in your pocket. One specific staff member was quite the Scrooge!

Very poorly “organized.” They need to either accept reservations or walk-ins because waiting in line for an hour and a half in the frigid cold being told it would be another hour wait is just not it.

If you actually want decent food this in not the place for you. $12 crab dip in a small ramekin that had almost no crab meat. $30 crab "roll" and $22 short ribs that had NO FLAVOR. I thought it was weird that they gave me and my friend who also got crab dip different crackers as well as a different amount of crackers. This place is tiny but also takes reservations so expect to wait outside if you don't have one (or even if you do, the place is a small room). Was told "we need this table by 7" when we were sat..real classy...

I feel this place is a rip off. The colorful atmosphere in no way makes up for the crappy over-priced garbage they are selling as food.

Went for the christmas pop up, vibes were 10/10, drinks were strong and tasty, however they took forever. (literally 20 minutes for one cocktail, they "put the wrong syrup in") (were chit chatting with people at the bar and forgot to make it.... we literally watched you) The food was completely disgusting. I got the breakfast sandwich, the egg was super thick (like a frittata). When I picked up the sandwich I thought it was the other slice of bread at first, it was thicker than the bread and cold and spongey (gross!) It takes maybe 3-5 minutes to cook a hot scrambled egg, so I'm not sure the thought process on batch cooking eggs like this. Also the bacon was 2 small strips of precooked microwave bacon. For the price point the food should at least be hot, if not much better quality.

I don't live in Richmond anymore but when I come visit, I always make a stop here. The cocktails are fantastic and I love the space so much. Whether you're stopping by for happy hour or making a special trip in winter to see The Evergreen, it's easily one of my favorite RVA spots.

Ceviche is really small. But martinis and oysters are awesome.

Visited for the Evergreen holiday pop up! It's super cute inside with Christmas decor everywhere! I went with a friend and we each got a smaller plate item (I got oysters) and 2 drinks! First I tried the reindeer games since it was freezing outside and it's a warm drink kind of like a boozy apple cider. It was delicious and served in a cute Christmas tree mug. The oysters were also very good! The second drink I tried was the broken bulb. I'm not sure how I felt about this one, the flavors are different. It was like a spritz that tasted like a Christmas tree. The presentation was beautiful. Our waitress was very friendly and kept us happy! Great experience over all.

Went for restaurant week and was very disappointed. Cute bar with nice ambiance, however, food and service were subpar. Dinner for 2 took 2+ hours. Food was underwhelming at best. Service was terrible and our server did not notice our entree had not been delivered for over an hour. Will not be going back.

Awful service. Our waiter could not answer a single question about the food or drinks and just left without saying anything. They charged 20% tip on a table of 4, therefore clearly don’t care. I would never go back here.
