Blanchard's Coffee Company

The coffee is great, and I was excited to move back to Richmond and have this location nearby. But after multiple visits, the service at this location has consistently felt cold. I’ve said thank you after tipping and gotten no acknowledgment, and my partner was snapped at for simply checking if a drink on the counter was theirs. A bit more attention to basic customer service here would go a long way.

Good stuff but you really pay for it. An iced coffee and small brownie was almost $12. Good selection of prepared foods.

I love Blanchards! I love supporting them. But this location is severely lacking. The baristas are probably the most unfriendly and cold people I have ever encountered in a coffee shop. If you don’t like people, don’t work a service position. The coffee is exceptional though, and I know the owners treat their staff exceptionally well. I will continue to patronize them, but probably not this location again. I’ve had enough of rude people. There are too many coffee shops in Richmond to tolerate that. Plus I waited 20 minutes for a drink

Perfect fall latte!! The Autumn spice latte was perfectly balanced - just the right amount of flavor, not too sweet or bland. Will go back!

I love Blanchards coffee but dread coming to this location. The cashier is very cold and unfriendly. It’s to the point that I am making a review about it and I see others have too. It’s a bummer because it’s the closest location to me but I honestly go out of my way to avoid it.

While visiting Richmond this weekend, we found the coffee to be as expected.

Unfortunately the vibes and staff are equally cold. They were giving us “go get coffee somewhere else” and stoic. It’s a shame.

Best coffee in Richmond, hands down

As someone who frequents local coffee shops AND gives workers a lot of grace when it comes to customer care, I am baffled by the hostility and lack of customer service in this shop. It's disheartening and unfortunate, especially for a shop with great coffee and so much potential.

Mobile orders extremely fast.

I love coming here! Their seasonal drinks are so fun :)

Just as a heads up - half the pictures on the Google maps listing for Blanchards are actually of an entirely different business called “Stella’s”, an upscale convenience store, which shares a building with Blanchards. Both are great but Blanchards doesn’t sell full sized cakes, chips, prepared foods etc.
