Boil Bay Cajun Seafood and Bar

We had a party of 6 for a 6p reservation. We arrived at 550pm. We did not get seated until 640pm. After asking three different people for water, we finally received water at 715pm (three of us did, we had to ask again for water for the other three). Once we ordered the food came out quickly. Paying was another challenge and we just walked up front to pay since our waitress disappeared again. We asked for the manager at the outset and she did everything in her power to avoid speaking to us only at the end to offer 15% off our next visit. I will not be back and the other five people in my party said the same. The upside, my drink was good and the DJ was good. I was not satisfied with my food. The price was decent for what I had.

I brought a combo c crab boil and within 3hrs of eatting...I had to call the emt to take me to henrico hospital to get two iv and three valves of blood token to be told I was food poisoned... I didn't eat all day anticipating to eat some seafood on Christmas to be bed riden and missed 4 days of work... today I got some relief finally( Sunday) after a Wednesday supposed to be fest

Me and my boyfriend went here Tuesday night the staff in this place is horrible everyone looked liked they didn’t want to be there no one had a good attitude and we both knew we should have turned around!!! Not to mention the food was so bland I had a boil bag that I set up myself and it was ok about 3 hours arriving back at home I was vomiting found out it was food poisoning this was the only thing I ate that day.!!! Will never return or recommend to anyone at all!!!!

The Worse.
I sat AT THE BAR for 20 minutes before a gentleman who'd been there and had been served asked for some service for me (by this time...it was an experiment...I'm hard to miss 1 and 2 I'm a server and not noticing a new face with not even a menu is CRAZY); The food was lack luster. I asked for no potato double corn and got double potatoes 😏 no corn. And the sangria was THEE WORSE *meanwhile the joint in Southside Plaza has the BOMB food and drinks! Their SANGRIA and Lemon Drop is DELISH!
This place is for tha birds.
Servers need a 'Servers Workshop' or sumn.

I walked in to order take-out and immediately one of the staff members started harassing me. NON-STOP, I wasn't even allowed to place an order or get a menu. All I wanted to do was spend money on some seafood. Do not go here. They cater to people of a certain skin color and who are in whatever network of cult that runs the place.

I usually don't give reviews but boy was this place pure booty cheeks. My wife and I came here to have a nice dinner, 10min have gone by and decided to walk out. I saw servants walking around everywhere around us. Not one single greet or didn't say anything to us. Won't come here if it was the last sea food boil open. 👎🏻

I'm only giving one star because I have to in order to leave a review. If you are a real foodie and know your seafood, you'll know this is a rip off! They are using 5/8 or even smaller crab legs and only putting two per boil. I received 1 mimi potatoe,, and a piece of corn that looked like it was eaten. I paid $83 for damn near nothing. I do plan on contacting weights and measures. They are ripping people off. The prices on door dash and grubhub are way more than posted in the restaurant. The receipt from the restaurant said $52 plus 10% tax and my door dash order was $83. I'm not sure what the experience is in the restaurant but ordering delivery is not work it at all!
I also ordered the crab cakes the are smashed together and full of filler

Strawberry margaritas, 3 no flavor, sour. Had to get strawberry syrup and make it myself. So didn't drink it. Other 2 taken off tab. Ordered oysters that never came. Steamed, why did it take so long? Never got. We canceled because we were done and they were still not out. Blue crabs were still blue. Under cooked. Snow crabs were good and eggs. Sauce was ok. Experience not good.

As a former server here I can say this is a ok place to eat but Please tip your servers in Cash if you can . This area is bad with tipping and the restaurant doesn’t take automatic gratuity. The staff is well deserving of much better wages They are really great !

Food wasn't cooked potatoes cold and sauce was watery. Not what we asked for. The customer service was great.

So Apparently Me ‘& My Wife Spent $107 Here Last Night . It Was Karaoke Night ‘& I Didn’t Know ( First Time ) So It Was Loud But I Ordered Combo C ‘& Asked For JUST Shrimp With A Side Of Boiled Eggs But I Didn’t Know The Waiter Wrote It As Combo D Until The Check Came . I Got One Egg When A Side Is Supposed To Have Two ; As Well As She Rung Me Up For Shrimp 2x Head On ‘& Head Off , I Didn’t Have Any Shrimp With The Head On So That Was An Extra $4 For Nothing Cool But The Combo I Originally Asked For Was $44 ‘& Combo D Was $54 . We Asked Could It Be Fixed ‘& Her Response Was “ I Don’t Think So Because The Cooks Don’t Play About They Money “ Now In My 23 Years Of Living I Have NEVER Heard No Shit Like That , NEVER . Other Than That We Had A Great Time ; Karaoke Night Thursdays Are The Best .

I love this particular Boil Bay. I love the crowd the DJ the music , I love how family oriented it is. I visited several times, but it's usually way too cold in there, and I had on a jacket and jeans . No, I'm not the only one who said it. Other customers agreed with me. For me, with Boil Bay, the food is never hot enough ... My food ( seafood boil bag w crablegs, sausage, and corn) is usually less than warm, I have never gotten an actual hot bag of seafood at any of the Boil Bay restaurants, I have visited 3 in the Tri Cities in Virginia. The service and drinks are always GREAT!!! Very friendly and very attentive staff. Yep, I'm going back.

Me and 2 other friends came to eat here on a Tuesday evening. There were only 2 other tables seated and no wait time. We were guided to our seat and the waiter dropped off our menus after mumbling something incoherent. She didn't even wait for us to sit down before walking away. No hello, no introduction, she didn't bother to give us a drink menu or take our drink orders. 10 minutes roll by and no one has returned to take our drinks or talk to us. We walked out. As we left we saw all the servers chatting in the corner but not doing their jobs. Never will return to this location again.
