We thought the food was amazing and we both said one of the best steaks we have had in a while. We were disappointed by our service. The waiter was not knowledgeable in wine and it took a few times of tasting to come to a bottle. This process took almost 45 minutes because he was not coming back to us much. We wanted to get desert and and after dinner drink but because he did not come for such a long period of time we could not get anything. This was disappointing because it was my wife's birthday and we really wanted a nice treat at the end to share. Again, the food was perfect. For a fine dining experience we would have expected that service to be better.

It was our first time dining on the outdoor patio. That kept the noise down while creating a wonderful ambiance. The food was delicious!

i took my husband here for his 60th birthday, absolutely fabulous, his steak was tender and moist. My crab cakes where deliscious and fresh! Service was also great! 1

Exceptional food and service. Outstanding. Delicious NY Strip, Filet Mignon, and Snapping turtle soup. Loved it- will definitely be back when in Richmond.

This only husband for his birthday. First time there and everything was great. Will be returning for another celebratory dinner.

My sister and I had reservations to celebrate our September birthdays. When we opened our menus we saw HAPPY BIRTHDAY at the top. We ordered cake for dessert and our wonderful, efficient, and attentive waiter Garrett put candles on the cake for us to make a wish and blow out. My sister and I both had the salmon with stuffed crab meat and it was delicious. I would totally order it again. The owner greeted us and asked about our experience. His daughter was taking photos using customers' iPhones with the wine storage rack as the backdrop. We had a memorable experience and would go back.

What an amazing dinner!! Our servers, Matthew and Israel were top notch! Incredible service provided by them! Steak and crab cakes were divine! Looking forward to returning for another incredible dinner.

We love eating at the bar being served by our favorite bartenders! Love tge raw clams and the burgers.

We were looking for a delicious steak restaurant and Bookbinders was recommended. This place didn't disappoint. The steak melted in our mouth, and Garrett was amazing with suggestions of wine and sides. A bit pricey, but the service, ambiance and entire experience was worth every penny!

Great experience. Steak was amazing. Was here for a post wedding rehearsal meal. Melody, our waitress was very sweet and made the meal wonderful. Thank you for a great dining experience.

I mean what else is new? Bookbinders is one of the only perfect restaurants in Richmond. The food is out of this world without having to resort to really weird items. For example, it's hard to tell if a ghost pepper chicken and broccolini burrito is good because you can't compare it to the other ghost pepper chicken and broccolini burrito you had somewhere else. So bookbinders makes what you would expect from a steakhouse that serves some seafood and they do it better than EVERYWHERE else. The service is incredible and if you go around 530 it is very relaxed and quiet. The stuffed mushrooms were incredible as well as our entrees. This restaurant is just perfect. Expensive sure, but you get what you pay for and then some. If you have a celebration coming up Go there You won't be disappointed

One of my favorite restaurants in Richmond. The food, service and atmosphere are always top-notch. We sat outside this time, and it was great.

We came for a birthday. Bookbinder's made the experience special. The hosts were accommodating. The server was patient and knowledgeable. Every bite of food was amazing. The family atmosphere was perfect. This is our favorite spot in Richmond.
