I mean what else is new? Bookbinders is one of the only perfect restaurants in Richmond. The food is out of this world without having to resort to really weird items. For example, it's hard to tell if a ghost pepper chicken and broccolini burrito is good because you can't compare it to the other ghost pepper chicken and broccolini burrito you had somewhere else. So bookbinders makes what you would expect from a steakhouse that serves some seafood and they do it better than EVERYWHERE else. The service is incredible and if you go around 530 it is very relaxed and quiet. The stuffed mushrooms were incredible as well as our entrees. This restaurant is just perfect. Expensive sure, but you get what you pay for and then some. If you have a celebration coming up Go there You won't be disappointed
One of my favorite restaurants in Richmond. The food, service and atmosphere are always top-notch. We sat outside this time, and it was great.
We came for a birthday. Bookbinder's made the experience special. The hosts were accommodating. The server was patient and knowledgeable. Every bite of food was amazing. The family atmosphere was perfect. This is our favorite spot in Richmond.
This is one of the best restaurants in Richmond. For a fine dining experience you cannot beat bookbinders. It's a big time operation.
As always our experience at Bookbinder's was top notch. The atmosphere was cozy. Food and drinks were fantastic! Bradley was an outstanding waiter! It was perfect from start to finish.
Our go-to spot for a top notch special occasion restaurant. Seasonal cocktails are always on point, my favorite is the crab stuffed salmon. So decadent! Be prepared to leave in a wheelbarrow because the portions generous and you'll want to order everything off the menu. Many thanks for happy memories!
My wife and I have been going to book binders since 1996 and we have never had bad food. The quality is excellent. There is no better fillet in Richmond, the tenderness, the flavor are excellent! It is a beautiful location, Chris was an excellent server And you cannot ask for anything more on our 35th anniversary.
One of the best places in Richmond, in an old mill warehouse, fantastic food and drinks

Went to a steakhouse as a vegetarian and it was totally worth it! Got a bunch of sides and this is the best caesar salad in Richmond hands down. Also get the creamed white cheddar corn!

What an amazing find while out working my gig one day. Decided to bring Hubby for our “half anniversary” celebration and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was classy. We were immediately seated which was good being we had reservations. Our server, Melody, was extremely but not overly attentive the duration of our meal. She ensure we had what we needed when we needed it & quickly removed used dishes from our table. The owner came by and introduced himself & thanked us for choosing to celebrate at his establishment. He later sent over complimentary champagne flutes which was a very fine touch. The food was absolutely delicious. Hubby had the crab stuffed lobster & I enjoyed the crab cakes appetizer with a Cesar salad. No sides. However, the crème brûlée for dessert…chef’s kiss! Hubby also enjoyed a mighty fine old fashion for his beverage of choice. The music that flowed throughout was perfect as it was oldies but goodies and added an awesome touch to a perfect date night. Highly recommend. Worth the price. Please dress for the occasion. Enjoy!

Our experience was very underwhelming. The entire staff seems unhappy to be there giving an uncomfortable vibe. If you are looking for intimate this is not the place-tables are so large it’s hard to have a private conversation. The drinks were the best part of our meal-5 stars for the bartender. They make a proper martini and sazerac. The food was just okay. They seem scared of allergies-there was a lot I couldn’t have including the asparagus because “everything is pre marinated”. When I said I had a severe dairy allergy the waiter asked if butter was okay which was concerning. Then said they can steam vegetables if I can’t have butter which I hate-any decent restaurant could sautee vegetables in oil and season it with garlic and salt to make it worth the $20+ price. The shrimp cocktail was good. We assume because I have an allergy they didn’t offer us bread (my husband does not have allergies-not sure why it was not offered to him) which looked like it might be the best part of the meal. The steak was good. Cooked well but plain-again-seasoning does not have any dairy so not sure why. My husband said his steak was good and the sauce was as well-but when you are a highly rated and priced steakhouse, you shouldn’t need sauce or dairy to make your steaks taste good. Much better experiences elsewhere. Not worth the $.

I only do great customer service reviews but I have a not so great review, first time. The service was not very nice, I've eaten here 4 or 5 times before and the food was very nice! However, today was not so good their customer service needs attention. My cocktail was dumped all over me by the waitress and I happened to be wearing a white shirt, she was apologetic and offered me a napkin to mop up. The meal was underwhelming. But she said I'm not charging you for dessert, the cheapest thing on our $350 bill the scoop of ice cream for ruining my top. Therefore no gratuity was left,it will go towards a new shirt. this was my last celebration at Bookbinders, I'll try Buckhead from now on.
