Dont get hoodwinked by the reviews and pictures. Most reviews and ratings are for the previous restaurant not the Jamaican spot. Initially i was thinking it was a jamaican spot that also offered other bar food. I had one rum punch and a small oxtail total came to $32. They automatically include a 20% tip on the receipt as well. You shouldve created a new page/account for this business. I feel like this account/page is misleading.

First time I order food was Chewy and hard to get off the bone but the taste was on point (jerk) this time I tried curry the chicken was more fresh and like the jerk the taste was on point 8.5 my go to spot now the cabbage even good not hard like other places and not bland

Never disappointed whenever I go there. The entrees are prepared fresh; they are yet hot when I order takeout. Delicious to the last forkful. One of the better jewels in the city.

Amazing space with cool tunes,(the Roots and Digable Planets.) fantastic bartender Took good care of us and made sure our food was amazing even though it was late. Had curry shrimp and bbq chicken. Can’t wait to go back for the j*** chicken and more. VERY affordable with PLENTY of leftovers for another meal. Almost better the second night after the flavors settled. Will be a regular place for us when we visit Richmond. Thank you Courtney!

Barvina is amazing!!! This was my first time trying j*** chicken and I am in love. My husband loved the red snapper. Everything about this restaurant is amazing. You need to try it!

Went to this establishment 8 PM on a Tuesday. Per their website and Facebook they are open. Once arrived, the open sign was lit, the lights and TVs were on. Even the Entry sign was outside but the doors were locked. We called and there was no answer. So don’t count on them if you are hungry. After reading other reviews, it sounds like this place might not last long. If you were going to be closed please make it noticeable on the outside and/or online.

I came here during the halloween bar crawl, and service was unnecessarily rude. You know how one bad memory can sour an entire night? The only memory that keeps playing in my head from that night was the bartender over charging me, then taking the drink from under my nose and throwing it in the trash while giving me attitude. We left after that. Never coming back.

Pretty sure this place was set up as a COVID scam to get free government money for small businesses. I dunno. They are NEVER open. Drive by all the time and no one is ever inside. I was literally just there, sign lit up, could see a TV on, but the doors were locked and no one inside. The side door was locked as well. I don’t think place will last very long, considering they are never open - so how are they making any revenue? (Hence the COVID scam idea) I want to state I don’t know this as fact, it just seems sus
