My wife and I were heading to another restaurant and caught a wiff of the burgers. We immediately changed our plans and went inside Boulevard Burgers and Brew. The restaurant has a great vibe especially late at night. Its a throwback to the diners of the 50's and 60's with a few modern touches. We were seated immediately and even though it was a little busy. The waitress was there soon after to get our drink order. We began to salivate over the menu because everything looked good. Looking around the restaurant, I saw what others had ordered which was very dangerous. All sorts of delicious looking and smelling food was delivered to the tables around us. I recall seeing the pure delight in a gentlemans face as he took a bite of his burger. After a brief discussion with my wife, we decided to split a Boulevard Brewhouse burger, a Philly Cheesesteak, and a small fry. The burgers are pretty good and have fresh toppings on them. Each bite was a wonderful experience. A bit more salt and pepper in the burger would have made it legendary. The cheesesteak was a gem of a find. It is not packed with a lot of meat however the flavor of the meat, peppers and cheese on that amazing bread works extremely well. One sandwich will satisfy your hunger without feeling stuffed like a pig. The only problem during the meal was that we ordered a small fry. These fries are AMAZING and we crushed the fries immediately. Don't make the same mistake we did ordering a small fry. Do yourself a favor and order the medium or large fries. There are so many options on the menu that we can't wait to try on future visits.

The Mango margaritas is the best. Food standard always high at this place. Highly recommended. The owner interacts with guest which is great.

Does not disappoint! Solid service, solid food, kid-friendly and always a hit. Milk shakes and fries especially are top notch.

Lexi was very chipper, pleasant and attentive.

I ordered a double-patties (well done...no pink) both patties were pink.

The onion straws and fries were luke warm.

However, the saving grace on our return to Burgers and Brews since the accident was Lexi's service and the Kelly's Classic was good after the remake.

Will we return and what type of review we will give on our Radio Station and on Richmond VA Things To Do and More Facebook Group ( 105K members) that Cruz Inc Media operates is TBD.

I just moved to Richmond, and live nearby — decided to finally pop in and found the place to be a cross between a sports bar & 50’s diner… objectively “cool, local” vibe.

I wasn’t very hungry, so, I just ordered a burger: Boulevard Brew House Burger (picture). Albeit a tasty burger I have two complaints:
- the burger was so well-done the meat was grey.
- the bottom bun was clearly stale and they tried toasting it to “save” it… just crumbling after a hard bite through.

There is a solid beer selection and the food coming out looked good. I’ll be back with the hope of a better burger but I wasn’t overly impressed with the cook even if the overall taste they went for is understood.

Overall, I’d give the experience a 3.5/5.

Great milkshakes but the burgers were literally hockey pucks. Very well done (we weren’t asked our temperature preference)
The kids sliders were even worse couldn’t even cut it. It’s a one and done for us

The burger was well cooked, and there are some great selections for toppings - but my main complaint stems from the fact that the bread just isn't very high quality. The buns on every burger were about the same as the bread on a cookout burger, or the kind you'd get from a bag at the grocery store on the bread shelf. Plus, it wasn't even toasted.

Besides that, a fun place with good shakes, too.

The salad was delicious and filling. The atmosphere was warm. Rating the service a 3 stars because the server brought us other customers' orders a couple of times.

I’ve come here once before with a friend, and had a great experience then!

I’d had a really hard morning into the afternoon due to a tragedy and other events in my personal life.

When I walked in, just as I had opened my mouth to order, I immediately began to cry. The person at the register was very kind when taking my order despite my ordering through tears.

The person gave me space to gather myself, and gave me a little encouragement.

Because of the day I’d been having (which earlier had included a not great customer service experience) the gentleness and compassion of the server was enough to smooth over pieces of my day that felt raw.

By the way, I ordered the malt vanilla shake and it was the perfect treat in the midst of my day!
