Was my first time going, and honestly, it wasn't that half bad! Waffle was decadent, fluffy, and had that nice golden brown exterior that added a soft crunch to every bite. Now, if you love chocolate, order The Carver! Best thing for a sweet tooth craving. Prices are decent; $8 for half a waffle and $12 for a whole. Keep in mind, these waffles are huge and their toppings are extremely generous. Atmosphere is nice, given the temporary exhibit next door where you can eat and look at different pieces of photography and paintings. However, place was a little unkept. Meaning, there was still leftovers of powdered sugar, stains, and crumps on the table surface where you sit to eat. Even the kitchen itself and the coffee area was cluttered. Plus -- it's COVID-19 season and rates in Richmond are three times higher than they were last year in Richmond. At least sanitize the area when it's less full or have one of your employees do it every time customers leave their seating. All in all, it eventually got cleaned for us. Service could've been slightly better, as the woman that took our order looked like she was more itching to smoke her next cigarette than attending her job. Just not a very pleasant attitude. The young man that prepared our food was very sweet and appreciative that my friend and I decided to eat at the establishment. The area is overall very nice! There are a couple small-owned businesses that sells juices, soaps, essential oils, and even a donut shop. Bottom Line: Price - 8/10 Taste and Presentation - 10/10 Service - 6/10 Atmosphere - 8/10 Cleanliness - 5/10

We had such a lovely experience at Brewer's Waffles! I got The Carver with a Sweet Potato Waffle, and it was just the indulgent sweet treat that I wanted (we justified the calories by making it the destination of our run!). The mousse was so light but rich, the waffle was perfectly cooked and just the right amount of crispy on the outside and soft inside, the caramel praline on top was a great texture addition to the rest of the food, and they didn't skimp even a little with the fresh banana. I was shocked to have ordered the half and gotten the incredibly generous portion that I did--I assumed from photos that it was the whole!The gentleman working the whole place by himself was an absolute gem. He explained the entire process to us, went through the options thoroughly, and was infinitely patient while we mulled over our decisions. We loved the additional room, too (wondering if they'll allow it to be rented out after COVID?) with all the interesting artwork from Julius Davis (@jewmichaelcrosby) to enjoy while having our breakfast.Awesome community space. Delicious food. Insanely good price point. Gotta watch my waistline now that I've had a taste, because I'll definitely be back!

Perfection.I had the Armstrong and a chocolate Snickers bourbon milkshake which were incredible! The Armstrong really brought the savory to a breakfast that is often *soooo* sweet. The jalapeno was not overpowering while the corn bread created the base you wanted! Meanwhile the bourbon milkshake was expertly balanced giving just enough kick to truly allow you to get the flavors but not so much that you would question your ability to function for the rest of the day.The gentleman who was working there was friendly and helpful and definitely elevated our experience!To sum it all up... stop reading this review and go here! Seriously I will not hesitate to recommend or return in the future!

I chose a BYO (build your own) Waffle. There are a variety of toppings and sauces you can add to your waffle. I went with a traditional waffle topped with granola, honey, and Nutella drizzle. My waffle was delicious! Brewer's Waffles has signature waffles or you can customize your own. There is street parking in front of the restaurant (hourly). Brewer's Waffles is an excellent choice for waffles in RVA!

Wow!!!! Enough said!!! The young lady as I like to call her Ms Syracuse, makes the place happen. Great smile you can see under the mask. Always cleaning and making sure the work stations are free from obstacles. She is the Waffle Maker. Try this place!!! Been here twice and we'll worth the time and effort.

Visited the location for the first time today. I was super excited to try it since I kept hearing they were really good. The waffle was amazing. I got the Richmond with the strawberries and peppermint. I wish I would've gotten 2. I also got a milkshake and it was delicious. Only thing that made the experience bad was the customer service. The 2 females behind the counter were not friendly at all, my waffle was just placed on the counter and the girl walked away. I had to ask if it was mine before taking it, they didn't speak when we walked in, and did not really speak much even when we were ordering. I called out to one of them and she never bothered to figure out why... I want to go back but unsure if I will bc of the service I received today
