I tried the Lemon and Vanilla benjaes they were very hot and delicious. The lemon sauce was fresh and zesty It was so good melted over the top like liquid gold. The white sugar confection sweet to the taste covered the hot morsels like snow on a mountain top. The service was good. They were very busy. This is a must try. Hurry they're closing their doors at the end of May 2023. Loved It!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️???

Kid-friendliness: Easy to get to Indoor and Outdoor dining. Eat in or takeout.

Parking: Street parking . We pulled right into a space. Patrons leaving and going.

A good stand-in for a Louisianians away from home. I ordered a large tradition beignet and caramel latte. The latte was good and around the same price as Starbucks. The beignets are good also. I would describe them as thicker and more doughy than Cafe Du Monde. I ordered to go and was surprised to open the box to heart shaped beignets. They are a little more pricey than I’m used to, but still worth the money. The location is cute. I didn’t get LA/NOLA vibes but that may be intentional. I went at 9:20am on Saturday. There were two guests ahead of me. There was a bit of a wait, but not long enough to complain about. The service was good. I will definitely be going back in the warmer month for some al fresco dining.

I went came all the way up from Hampton to try this place and it was unfortunately closed on Friday because of “Technical Difficulties”. Fortunately they were opened Saturday and it was definitely worth the wait! We tried 4 different ones and all were phenomenal.

Seriously delicious beignets, great service and a nice relaxed vibe! Would recommend coming with a friend since the beignets come in threes. (I feel like a hypocrite, I just gobbled mine up!!)

Came in for a snack and a hot beverage on a rainy day. Ordered traditional beignets and a decaf coffee. Both were made to order. The beignets reminded me of New Orleans, covered in powdered sugar and delicious. The coffee was also good. The space is warm and welcoming and the staff was really friendly. Check this place out if you're in the area.

This spot is super cute and the food is delicious! I got their sweet tea and the 3-pc beignet, which were surprisingly big and rightfully filling. Everyone was friendly too, so definitely worth a taste and a revisit? (Beignets not pictured because we scarfed them down!)

When it comes to NOLA flavors my bar is nigh unreachable. I was born just outside New Orleans and worked my way through grad school at some of the cities most prestigious restaurants. The gumbo Brittany makes is so magical it must be voodoo. One bite of the gumbo and I could hear Satchmo singing “I know what it means to miss Ol’ New Orleans”. The hot sauce on the table is merely decorative because the gumbo is seasoned to perfection. The rich dark roux is a culinary masterpiece. The beignets were fluffy pillows from heaven. This sister team has captured the Cajun spirit and are serving it to you piping hot. Laissez les bon temps rouler and get over to Cafe Beignet!

First time coming here today. Got a small order of regular beignets and a small order of blueberry pie beignets along with a coffee and a lemonade. Super tasty!!! I just visited Paris a few weeks ago and these are just as good as beignets bought from street cars there! Plenty of room to sit outside or inside but we took ours to a nearby park for a quiet Sunday morning meal. They have vegan beignets as well!!

Vegetarian options: All the beignets are vegetarian and at least the regular can be made vegan.

Kid-friendliness: Large area where the seats are for kids to run and play and beignets are a great kid food!

Dietary restrictions: They are knowledgeable about their ingredients and can help with deciding if you can eat there.

I really wanted to like this place but the gumbo had no flavor or seasoning at all. These great reviews and I’m just in shock. Not even some garlic or some pepper. The beignets are hit or miss because the consistency is off. Some are too doughy and some are okay, but hard to enjoy when it’s not all the same. At $15 for gumbo, it better have taste. I’m extremely disappointed and will never visit again. Try if you want tasteless gumbo and one decent beignet out of like 6!!!

We stopped in before 11 a.m. with our Pomeranian (pet friendly balcony seating) and decided to come back later in the day to get the gumbo (available after 11 a.m.) We came back and ordered the regular gumbo (out of vegan gumbo), beignets, and the sweet honey cornbread. Everything was delicious! The line can be long, have some patience it's worth it!
