What a great find for a short trip to Richmond. If you’re in the mood for simple yet great breakfast - this is the place. Waffles, eggs and delicious coffee. No matter what you get, they will not disappoint and the service is also fantastic.

I got the liege waffle with Nutella and fresh strawberries. It unfortunately was a disappointment; tasted like one I could get prepackaged from a grocery store. For me it wasn’t worth it, but the larger waffles they are known for might have been better.

I went to Capitol Waffle Shop on a recent Friday morning. I had great service and the food was amazing! I had an iced latte and a waffle, both tasted beyond my expectations. I will definitely be coming back in the future. The staff were also super friendly and they were efficient with service. :) I parked in a nearby parking deck and it was not a far walk to get to the waffle shop (it can be easily overlooked/easy to walk past it if you are not looking for it though).

We got the Martha Waffle and the Shockoe Egg Bowl. The egg bowl was pretty good, but slightly smaller than I would've thought, and I think I'd like the arugula cooked in with it instead of raw on top, but overall it was pretty tasty. The Martha Waffle was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet, but good enough to eat without syrup. The mixture of donut and cinnamon toast crunch crumble on top tasted like coffee cake topping, and the blueberries added a nice fresh quality to top it off. My husband is not a big waffle/pancake person because he doesn't like too much sweet in the morning, but he loved it and said it was the best waffle he'd ever had. The service was quick and the servers were kind. We also got lattes, both of which were delicious, especially the hot raspberry latte. Definitely recommend and would eat there all the time if I lived in the area.

Intimate space ,seroius coffee and every kind of waffle and topping imaginable. Including waffled apple fritter and waffled home fries. My choice was egg+blueberries+strawberries+ bacon crumbles. Note: if you insist on maple syrup, as I do, You're gonna have to bring your own
