The make-over really changed the feel of Casa Italiana. It's a lovely space, no longer intimate feeling. It is open and bright. The lamb chops were well prepared, the right temperature, and nicely seasoned. The meatball and fried polenta appetizer was a meal in itself, as I did by adding a salad. Fried polenta is a true treat - crunchy and flavorful. The meatballs were huge, and very tasty, but could have used more seasoning. Pepper would be my choice. I added red pepper...
Had lunch with a good friend who had never eaten here before and this is one of my wife's and my fairly frequently visited restaurants but I have never been here for lunch. We both had the soft shell crab sandwich special with fries and they were amazing. Go figure, "That's Italiana". My friend said he would definitely make sure he came back again in the future.
Our date night was exceptional thanks to the experience we had at Casa Italiana! We ordered the Braised Beef Ravioli, Carpaccio, and Signature Spaghetti -all were delicious and we loved the show. Never had fried capers before which were delightful on the carpaccio. And that ravioli was heavenly. Thanks to Amanda and the staff, the vibe was amazing.
