My best guess is that this place is permanently closed. We stopped by last night 10/20/23 and by the looks of the place nothing good has happened here in a while.

Great wine bar! The staff is really knowledgeable on the wines offered. The food is made to order, fresh, and flavorful. Our favorite after work Friday spot.

I wanted to like this place so much more, but I was disappointed. Service was very slow. When my friend and I showed a Yelp promotion they had, our waitress tried to tell us it wasn't available anymore, but they would do us a favor and let us use it. We tried two different wines and they all tasted a bit old and sour. This isn't the business' fault, but it was right next to a cigar bar. Outside seating had a very strong smoky smell. When it came to paying the bill, our waitress tried to charge us more than what the menu said the wine was worth. She stared at us when we pointed this out. We were never told it cost more. She was a bit rude about it, but gave us the listed price in the end.

We went there on a Saturday at around 5 pm. Sign says it should be open, but it was not. Odd to see a worker inside moving around and zero acknowledgement. Plenty of other places on the street though!

This place truly became my go-to happy hour spot. The overall vibe is very welcoming and the managers and wait staff are very attentive and personable. I enjoy sitting on their patio with a glass of rose in the spring and a glass of mulled wine in the fall. The flexible seating indoors and outdoors makes for a very quaint bar. They have a huge wine selection and the waitstaff is very knowledgeable when making wine recommendations. I tend to purchase my wine by the bottle but they also offer wine by the glass. Not only is the wine selection great, but they also have delicious tapas. I'm favorite tapa to order is the empanadas! I promise you their empanadas are THE BEST in RVA! I would bet money on them. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a chill vibe!

The owners care about your experience in ways you will taste and feel. They specifically look for unique wines that they make them available by the glass. A Tempranillo, Chenin Blanc, and so many more delightful explorations. I cannot wait to see what they have next time I visit. To top it off, every bite sings about the chef's efforts. I especially loved Piquillo Peppers & Goat Cheese. The dish was deep and interesting while perfectly accented by Jackie's pairing. Please visit this wonderful place because I want it to be here forever!

I can't say enough great things about Rosie Connolly's which is the best part of Cest Le Vin--it's right across from it! As we waited at Cest--a wine and tapas bar that got our Pinot and Cab mixed up in bringing it to us, we wondered what would be next. We put in an order for some polenta and olives. Watching the only other two people there that night who had been there a good 45 mins before us, we learned our polenta and olives would take a while as the kitchen was backed up. The other couple got a dish about 10 minutes later, and maybe 25 mins after that our flavorless, lumpy polenta arrived with about 2 cups of olives. Kind of speechless why the olives maybe didn't come out sooner, but luckily the whole experience afforded us the ability to check out quickly and proactively and head over to Rosie's to have amazing Irish beers and some delicious fries with gravy--served, eaten, settled in about 20 minutes. Rosie's is amazing! Lastly--on our way out of Cest, I thought i saw them bringing a lovely candelabra out to an outdoor patron--upon closer look it was a hookah, so i guess wine+tapas+hookah is a thing! Must be off menu--be sure to ask!

Friday, June 25th, 2021. They are listed as being open at 3:00 PM, however when we showed up at 3:40 PM, they had still been cleaning and moving chairs around. When we asked if we could sit outside they denied us. This is a horrible first impression. Is the wine good? Is the food good? One may never know. Perhaps someone was late and that’s why things were not running smoothly. Although, it is a Friday….1/5.

I visit C'est Le Vin occasionally for a monthly open mic, and always have a lovely time. The service is always so friendly and attentive, and they have an amazing wine selection (the vino verde is my go-to!) Last time I got the goat cheese peppers, and while it was A LOT of cheese, they were delish. The patio is beautiful and great for people-watching!

Service was horrible, place the order for 2 dranks at the bar, waitress said that would be 10 min, which was fine, so we waited, 3 more people came after us, immediately waited on them, with no wait, then wanted to get our order, just a mess.. want have to worry about me supporting that restaurant every again...
